With 15% Proc Rate this may be doing great (it should also be able to crit considering the fact that most other similar procs can).

This trinket is like an improved Horn of Argent Fury; the difference being 65 haste rating and that the damage is Fire instead of Holy.

if this were to scale with spell dmg, it'd be probably one of the best trinkets at 80 before 25 mans. Probably even lasting throughout Norm and Heroic Naxx

After a bit of testing with my Rogue, this definitely procs off of Killing Spree, Fan of Knives, and Blade Flurry. It also can proc off the same attack that a poison procs off of. Decent DPS, very respectable vs high armored targets.

TLDR version: 68 minutes on a level 80 training dummy (I am level 80). 1.8% proc rate from melee attacks.

Full version:
I have been testing out this trinket for a day now (Enhancement Shaman) in two blocks.

First, I did a 5 minuite full dps test on a training dummy, followed by about 30 minuites on Sons of Hodir dailies. For some reason, recount showed 0 procs even though I clearly remember it firing once during the training dummy test.

The next test was 1 hour of beating on the level 80 training dummies to take a closer look at the proc rate itself. I came up with these figures:

Number of normal hits/crits: 3785
Number of WF hits/crits: 494
Number of procs: 77
Total time spent attacking: 68 minutes.

The number of WF hits/crits are low, because I was afk most of the time and did not refresh weapon buffs. Regardless, this shows a 1.8% proc rate, far less than the advertised 15%. It is possible there is an internal cooldown even though it is not shown on the spell details page. If this is the case, the internal cooldown is about 50s.

Here are some practical numbers about the worth of this trinket.

I ran 4 heroics in a row with the same group. I am a feral Druid and was in cat form for 95% of fights, but was wearing threat set of tanking gear (with this and Sphere of Red Dragon's Blood equipped). The group's DPS was high (3700 dps ret pally, 2400 dps ele shammy, 2400 dps ), and we pulled fast and focused on achievements.

I pulled 2000 to 2400 dps single target, and this trinket's proc accounted for 2.0% of that. (on boss fights I saw between 1.9% and 2.3%)

I am unsure of how much other easily obtained trinkets effect my dps (as measuring +AP in Recount is much harder) but this trinket seems to be worthwhile (as a stepping stone, at least).

Does this items 45sec internal CD share internal CD with Darkmoon Card: Death? If not, they would sure put the "Rrrr" in Burrrrst dmg. Sweet for PvP imho.
