Conjured from the Ritual of Refreshment, a new mage spell in patch 2.3.

The Ritual of Refreshment requires 2 Arcane Powder, creates a table much like the Soulwell, and lasts for 3 minutes or 50 uses. Each use gives a stack of 20 biscuits.

The reagent requirement was changed from a Rune of Portals in the most recent PTR

In order to learn the ability which creates these, you need to know the highest Conjure Water and Conjure Food from books.

Even after 2.3, I still keep getting begged by random 70s to come and conjure stuff for them.

Here's a simple solution for anyone that needs comestibles...
1 - Queue for AV.
2 - Pick as much as you want from the tables the mages will conjure for the raid during prep phase.

inevitably somebody is going to run out of food 3/4 through the run!!

If you or anyone in your Kara group is running out of a stack of mana biscuits, 3/4 of the way through the run... other things need to be addressed. Your problem is not the table or the limit to carry. It's either your raid group causing healers to overheal, not using your talents/trinkets efficiently, or a myriad of other things. I have healed Karazhan and currently farming Hyjal/BT and healing Sunwell and I've never used 80 biscuits in a run.

You need to work on your mana pool (or regen if you are a healer) and stop whining about an imposed limit. The limit is there for a reason, to keep members of the raid from taking HALF the table for themselves, which they used to do. It makes less work (consumables-wise) for the mages to get enough biscuits distributed to a greedy raid that cannot self-impose restraint.

You can easily make up for the 18s with tips from Portals. I am constantly being asked to port people to Shat and Stonard for 3-5g. I am very surprised that 18s would be such a burden for a Level 70 mage.

It's not the money so much as for the fact that people like baseness will join a BG, spam-click the Table for, like, 30 stacks, and then bounce. I will gladly drop 18s to help my team win a BG. I will NOT drop 18s for some tool to ninja it away.

Ive out done these. In 2.4 ive lost meaning for mana biscuits. For two reasons. 1.You can only care 80. 2. Two words -Naruu Ration- You dont have to ask for rations. Sure they are soul bound now but that doesnt really matter. I carry nearly a full bags worth all the time. Of corse i keep a few slots open for tanking pots but ive found rations to be alot better, and easier to get then mana biscuits. Since mages dont seem to be willing to pump out 18s while iam tanking their instances. -70 non-mage friendly prot pally

It doesn't matter if someone takes them and bounces. Who honestly cares? The people that want them will have them. Some will go to people who decide to leave. Does that somehow raise the price of reagents? You're being silly, getting annoyed by people that just take them and leave. It causes positively no harm to you or the team.

As mentioned before, I'm surprised anyone would dare complain about 18s. I'm a pally and I always end up doing the buffing. Symbol of kings disappear quick, and I use quite a few every game because most of the time I dish out the pally buffs. It's a negligible impact on my gold, and if someone leaves with my buff, cool, hope they get whatever they wanted to do done a little bit faster with 10% better stats. I don't see why it's so different with mages.

As he also mentioned, you get tips from ports. Roll some other classes for awhile and maybe, I don't know, maybe you'll stop being so stiff.

This is the food you get when you use ritual of refreshment, a mage spell. The table created has 50 charges, so that's 50 stacks per cast.

Agreed, these things absolutely rock, yet half of the time, it's impossible to get a mage to make a table before a BG. At least in our battlegroup it is. Granted, you don't need one every single time (even though there are supposedly 50 stacks on every table), but it'd be nice for a mage to pop one up, especially considering the mana cost is ZERO!
