When Renn Mcgill repairs the diving gear it activates a 60 minute duration timer in which to use the item.

It does not matter if you use the item or not to complete the corresponding quest https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/quest=11140

You get to keep the diving gear after finishing the quest, but once the 60 minute duration expires the item disappears.

https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/spell=42275 also increases your swim speed by 20%. And it looks awesome.

It's a real shame this vanishes after 60 minutes, I think it would be an awesome RP item. It's infinitely better than the two you get from Engineering, much better coloration and detail.

The gear lasts for 60 minutes. Other than the obvious, it also increases swim speed, appears to be the equivalent of hunter's Aspect of the Cheetah on land.

nvm i had to re-equip it i didnt get the buff for some reason
