Awful drop rate, 6 boss kills so far. That means 30 prison keys used :[. Obviously not a gauranteed drop.

On the bright side, the bosses that drop this are not that hard. It says 5-man in the quest, but it seems they can be easily done by a tank and healer.

So far we've only done pit lord and floating eye guy.
Prot warrior - karazhan gear
Resto druid - quest blues and greens
Druid still had over 50% mana at the end without innervating.

Since it takes a long time to down these guys in small groups, try to find a stasis area full of mobs, clear them out, then summon. This way you have the full respawn timer to work with.

Watch out for the floating eye guy, he did fear me once, which I wasn't expecting. Also, his mind blast can be reflected.

The first time you get a Mark you are told to go to manatombs, once in there you simply clear a little trash after the first boss and speak with a guy. You are then asked to return to Ameer and collect the 5 badges of justice.

Then you need ANOTHER Mark to summon Yor. -.-

Question - Does everyone in the party get to loot one mark or just one person?

I summoned four different guys and each one dropped a mark. It looks like the drop rate has been upped. Either that or someone with the quest needs to get the killing blow (3/4 dpsers in the group had the quest).

You can also buy the Ethereum Prison Keys from other players since they aren't soulbound, I bought 13 for 15g each in one night.

This item only drops when a person w/ the quest for it gets the killing blow!

After reading about the terrible drop rates, I made sure I got the killing blow after picking up the quest, and it dropped no problem.

For those who simply want to know what the item is *for* ...

This is a quest item, part of the quest chain to summon Yor in the Mana-Tombs. You can work on getting the key for summoning him when your Consortium rep reaches honored, but to summon Yor you will need to be revered.

It's green. Only one person in the party may loot it. You can loot it even if you don't have the quest or have the rep. When doing this quest, I suggest everyone in the party has enough prison keys for 2-3 tries if they want a chance to get the mark.

6 kills - no Mark drops. Doesn't appear the drop rate has been upped at all.

Note that, despite being essentially quest items, these are not soulbound. They can be bought and sold in the auction house.

Not sure if any change took place in 2.4.2 but 2 boss kills = 2 keys. Perhaps the rate has been upped, or perhaps our luck was good.

Bosses were Trelopades and King Dorfbruiser.

quest objective for the cleverly named quest "Mark of the Nexus-King".
basically, get one of these.

you need 5 Ethreum prison keys, to make a stasis chamber key. then use that key on one of the chambers in bash'ir, to spawn an elite mob. (it sais 5-man quest, but you can quite easily 2-man them. at least i did, as a shadowpriest and a teddytank (druid bear).

killed 7 of the elites so far, yet none dropped the mark yet..

guess i'll have to keep farming keys then.

I opened 10 chambers in the space of about one week. I've since given up on it, most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

Wow, I must have been lucky. First kill and the mark dropped. I cant imagine farming 50 of those keys...

Just farmed 5 keys in like 25 minutes(48 Ethereum Avengers & 1 Ethereum Jailor), went Blade's Edge Mountains, traded them in, used it, Matron Li-sahar spawned and (probably) luckily dropped the mark. He also dropped Windchanneller's Mantle with 33 Stamina, 27 Int and 55 Healing. Maybe I was just being lucky but I guess the drop rate was increased to 100%.

you roll on it since its not a quest item...and its not bop so you can look up on the Auction house for it too if anyone is selling theirs
