Got mine off an imp in Blades Edge. I wasn't there for imps, I was farming elementals and an imp started attacking me. ^_^

Dropped totally randomly for me while doing a quest in Shadowmoon Valley. Sold it for 430G on AH. One of the caster's favorite gem.

Unfortunately for this recipe and its Nightseye rare gem, they're both useless and the gem can be vendored. They have been mercilessly outdated by Glowing Shadow Crystal.

Not a single person on my server has this. I believe so far only 8 recipes for the rare gems have been found, on the entire server.

Are they really supposed to be this rare?

I ended up getting this while trying to grind for the ragesteel breastplate plans. I was going to list it for 500g just to see - ended up selling it for 850g before the AH cut. Horray

Jewelcrafters need to start charging more. Considering the heavy costs of training. I see people in org asking to tip a gold to cut a gem for em. @ 800-1000k gold to train one recipe, I call on mah fellow jc'ers to Strike! (worked for ally in AV >.>) :P
