+3 STR instead of +3 Parry rating socket bonus
5 less defense
+26 resilience

we know that 490 defense pushes crits off the charts, except for that once in a blue moon crit. Being that you almost never get crit, resilience is worthless becaue all it does is 1) reduce chance of being critically hit (eliminated by 490) and 2) reduces the amount of damage taken when being critically hit.

If you're not being critically hit, why these gloves? PVP where resilience IS a good thing? But why would a PVPer value gloves with only STA and no STR or AGI or Crit?

If resilience is included in an item I really want to wear, GREAT (example: Halaa plate pants you get for battle tokens. I still use them even!) ... but to go FOR an item that has resilience and (basically) nothing else is not really worth it. I have s**t gear and I still have around 450def. When I start collecting actual Tank gear my def will be over 500 (which is useless anyways) so no worries about crits :)

how did these sell for 1k g +... these are seriously crap...they are made for pve- yet have pvp stats.. any warrior / paladin wanting these. is um either a total noob who buys gold or just isnt to bright.

they have resilance which is amazing.. and def is sometimes useful for pvp - as with rogues and other melee- but they have stam which is also good for pvp- and yet no crit AP or anything- and yes they have sockets.

compared to other gloves you could get for pvp.. these are not that great.

and for pve.. these are total #$%^. felsteel is > and hey its about 300g less in mats. woot.

plans have been up on spinebreaker AH for the last 4 days- started at 450- now at 350. mabye if they drop to 100 ill get them to just say i have um

Dropped off a Magekiller in Netherstorm, by the ghost town neat the Sunfury Compound. Put them on the AH for 900g, 1kg buyout. Got a lot of complaints from potential buyers, but we'll see how it pans out.

Why is it people only think about how much they can get for an item... especially one they, themselves, can't use?
Sure, it's great to be able to post a blacksmithing plan for 1200g but it's just plain STUPID for someone to buy it at that price! As a 375 blacksmith myself on Uldaman, I won't pay more than 250 or 300g for any plans... it takes WAY too long to recover the cost of a 1200g plan. On my server, a nether goes for 150-200g. You may be able to sell one of these Gauntlets of the Iron Tower every what... 3-5 weeks? That leaves you 6 months to recover the cost. And that's if they provide the mats and you don't spend 12 hours farming them. Even if you do, you can't get more than 600-700g from selling a set of the gauntlets with your mats and nether... that would STILL take way to long to recover the cost! When will you people stop being so selfish in only thinking about how much gold we can scam of people who have more than you do?
