This might be a difficult one for us Alliance people (same for the Horde dealing with the Alliance members). Gonna be a lot of corpse runs and a lot of frantic clicking before the army that has formed on top of your corpse one-shots you again.

I guess an Alliance player won't be able to complete Elders of the Horde during the Lunar festival if Fate, Up Against Your Will is in the quest log or abanded. It has to be completed to have acces again to the "real" Ogrimmar. Is this correct?

Elder Ezra Wheathoof in TB i reckon is dedicated to Ezra Chatterton, got a phoenix hatchling as pet as well. Previously I think the NPC was named Proudhorn (as seen in a screenshot).

Tribute by Ezra's Father (as a father with a 4 mo old son, this brings tears to my eyes):

Ezra died at 9:45 on Monday night. The cancer attacked those portions of the brain that control breathing, and his lungs eventually shut down. He was conscious until the very end, and though he couldn’t speak, he could still communicate with me through hand gestures and nods. Ezra was in pain, gasping for breath, and very scared, but up to a few hours before he died, he was asking for ice cream and choosing the things I read to him. As much as I feared the cancer would take his mind and memory away from him, he held onto those as long as he could.

The ironies are sickening. Ezra’s mind was always his greatest strength, and stayed strong even as his brain was malfunctioning. His spirit and his will to live life well grew so amazing powerful all the way to the point that his life was taken from him. No one I have ever met was as talented at finding the bright side of a horrible situation, adapting his worldview to whatever new hardship befell him, and generally milking every last drop of happiness he could out of life as Ezra, and he’s the one who is taken. The one person in my life who most loved living and was most exceptionally gifted at it, and he’s the one who is taken.

I say these things because I am in pain, because I miss my son so much, and because Ezra’s death is an undeniable tragedy. It is the world’s loss that he doesn’t get to do more, and fulfill his great potential. But I also hope that I can learn from his example. When Ezra couldn’t walk anymore, he turned to World of Warcraft. When he couldn’t see, he turned to music, or our pets, or food, or directing me to play World of Warcraft for him. The trick was that, as his world got smaller, he just looked at it more closely. If I am to take any shred of good from this suffering, I’ll have to learn from him.

I hope to honor my son by learning to love my life as much as he did. It will take a long time to get to that point, especially now that my greatest joy is gone, but Ezra would demand it of me. I ask the WoW community, who have been so generous and kind to us, to please help me honor Ezra by doing the same in your hearts. Ezra’s sickness and painful death was a tragedy, an experience that showed me a glimpse of how easily suffering can invade your life, but his response to it showed me how a strong will can overcome that suffering. As well, the outpouring of love from all WoW players all over the globe showed me how wonderful people can be to someone they’ve never met. Our bodies are fragile, but our hearts are incredibly strong. A tumor the size of a raisin is enough to destroy the brain, but our minds are so much more powerful and immense than the brain.

My son, Ezra Phoenix Chatterton, Ephoenix the Hunter, Squirlanator the Mage, is gone. All we have left in this world are memories of him. Please remember that he was a good person, smart and clever but also very kind, that he loved to play World of Warcraft, that he loved rice pudding and fettucine alfredo, and that he went through so much pain and still found ways to smile all the way to the end. Please remember too the kindness of Blizzard, and the overwhelming love of the WoW community. Without these gifts, Ezra would still have found a way to be happy and optimistic, just not as easily.

Thank you all for helping him through the suffering.

I have completed the quest line with Lady Jaina, and I was met with guards and players in Ogrimmar. They must have fixed it or something.

A few simple tips for Alliance players, I got this achievement myself last night without one death so I thought I'd just share some basic information.

1) For the Orgrimmar Elder, make sure you use the Western entrance from the Barrens. I only encountered one player down here and thankfully he wasn't a level 80, leaving me only to deal with the 6 or so guards right at the entrance. The Elder is located in the Valley of Wisdom.

2) In Orgrimmar, there's a few good hiding spots where you can heal yourself without aggroing any guards and (normally) being out of sight of players, the best one I found was on a building just after the Western entrance. On the Orgrimmar map, just look for the series of 3 huts near said entrance. You can also use these spots to plan a route on the map.

3) Orgrimmar again, make sure you don't actually follow the path exactly when going through the western entrance, guards patrol down here and you don't want to be hit by those if you've already had 6 guards chasing you.

4) Thunder Bluff, this is in my opinion the easiest one to get. Make sure you use the lift located north of Thunder Bluff, this puts you about <20 seconds away from the Elder, who is located in the Elder Rise. Go up the northern lift, get out of it at the top, take an immediate left into the building up ahead (you won't be dismounted), go up the stairs and out the door at the top, sharp left/right and follow the rope bridge to the Elder. He's located between 2 trees on the northern section of the rise.

5) This route in Thunder Bluff is a bit like Orgrimmar in terms of guards - The majority are near the entrance. They should leash as you get to the end of the bridge.

6) Engineers or any one who can do a slow fall effect just need to jump off Thunder Bluff when you're done with the elder. Make sure not to immediately hit your parachute/slow fall spell, otherwise a guard may just follow you down the side of the rise and mutilate your helpless body.

7) Undercity...Not much to this really, head in through front entrance, keep going across the courtyard, enter the main throne room and he's pretty much dead centre. No guards to worry about, just players - And even then, not that many.

8) If you're having trouble with any of these, try doing them late at night/early in the morning to avoid the peak playing times.

9) Obvious tip - Run for each of these without armour on if you don't fancy a possible repair bill. Make sure you go there in style though.

For those of us who are mages, you can iceblock on top of the elder and turn in the quest that way. Just ice armor and manashield/ icebarrier when your running in and you'll have no problem getting them all.

Also note that orgrimmar has stealthed guards on most of the roofs. While easily accessible, they are not safe at all.

I just noticed that whatever you did towards this achievement during previous Lunar Festivals DOES NOT CARRY OVER to this year. So, you have to start all over again when honoring the elders here.

If you are a paladin is pretty easy to do. When you're near the elder put Divine Shield, you can still talk to him and get the achievement.
