Steelbreaker is the most difficult 'Final' boss of Iron Council - as you kill each of the three, the others are healed to full and gain extra skills, the third one alive being a dangerous boss on its own.

Obviously a reference to "Pokemon". Whenever a trainer would send out a pokemon, they would say "I choose you <name>!"

Killing a boss of the Iron Council Supercharges the remaining bosses, healing them to full, increasing their damage and giving them new abilities. To get this achievement, Steelbreaker must be killed last. Since his abilities are most dangerous, this is considered to be the hard mode of the encounter.

Steelbreaker starts off with the High Voltage and Fusion Punch abilities.
When 1 other boss is killed, he can cast Static Disruption, an AoE and nature vulnerability spell.
When both other bosses are killed, he will debuff his current target with Overwhelming Power, increasing that players damage but causing a Meltdown, killing that player after 25 seconds. Spare tanks are advised. Once both other bosses are killed, Steelbreaker also gains a stacking +25% damage buff and 15% HP heal for each player he killed (including Meltdown casualties).

Well, Ensidia has it. So it definitely is POSSIBLE in the first week, albeit very difficult

Actually, according to WoWraid, they in fact did not kill the boss in the hardest possible way, thus they did not get this achievement...yet.

Can't check the facts from Armory yet, as it hasn't updated.

EDIT: I checked Ensidia's website (Oh god, why did I do that, honestly *shivers*) and they didn't do this achievement, unlike MMO-Champ & World of Raids had already announced. Instead, they did the Stormcaller Brundir Achievement.

Doing Iron Council on hard mode drops the quest item to start the quest line to fight Algalon the Observer. It requires you to collect quest items from Hodir, Freya, Thorim & Mimiron killed on their hard modes.

If he or Runemaster Molgeim is killed last of the 3 them drop a Archivum Data Disc.
This item starts the quest for the Algalon Key.

To get the key you need to kill Thorim, Freya, Hodir and Mimiron on hard mode.

A question regarding strategy on choosing Steelbreaker:

Most videos / written strategies suggest killing the Runemaster first. Wouldn't it be better to kill him second? My reasons for that:

- You very likely will have a rune of power during the first seconds or so of "phase 3" = more damage.
- Static disruption doesn't seem to hit melee, so you can tank the Runemaster right next to Steelbreaker without having them to worry about spreading out.
- Everybody can position right, so that no one will have to move around going from p2->p3.
- Minor: A mage might still have runeshield going into p3.

You would have to watch out for aggro at the beginning, but that's basic stuff, if there is an aggro reset between phases. Sorry, I am a healer, so I don't really know.

We haven't tried it yet, so I've just read and would appreciate some clarification.

For some reason it shows that the requirement of this achievement is killing Flame Leviathan, which is of course, incorrect.

The bossfight you have to master for this achievement is the Assembly of Iron, in the Antechamber of Ulduar.

Definitely one of the harder hardmodes in Ulduar 25, even at 3.3.3 it still can wipe some groups, but the easiest method I've seen done is to kill Brundir first, and when Molgeim gets to around 10% drop all your damage on him, wait for him to cast his damage rune, get Steelbreaker right next to that rune, have the raid stack on it, kill Molgeim, and Bloodlust/Heroism and go all out on Steelbreaker, with today's DPS you can get him down quite quickly, your first tank will probably overmelt when Steelbreaker is around 10-20%, so be ready to push down the extra health quick.(##RESPBREAK##)520##DELIM##Onyx1831##DELIM##
