Here is a list I put together for Pest Control. I included the animals for this achievement too, so here it is:

If it can be found in Northrend, that will be listed. Otherwise, any Outland location. Vanilla WoW locations are only listed if it can only be found there.
Northrend:
If you are starting off in Dalaran, take care of Underbelly Rat in the sewers before you leave town. Then, I suggest the following path.
Fly into Howling Fjord and get
Devouring Maggot- Howling Fjord, Utgarde Catacombs
Fjord Rat- Howling Fjord
Roach- Howling Fjord
Spider- Howling Fjord , Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom, Azjol-Nerub, Drak'Tharon Keep, Naxxramas, The Culling of Stratholme, etc.
While you are in the Howling Fjord, go /love these guys For the To All The Squirrels Who Shared My Life achievement.
Fjord Turkey - Howling Fjord
Fjord Penguin - Howling Fjord coasts
Scalawag Frog - Howling Fjord, Scalawag Point

Then , on your way to Zul'Drak to:
kill Zul'Drak Rat,
and love Arctic Hare
stop by Grizzly Hills and /love:
Mountain Skunk - Grizzly Hills
Grizzly Squirrel - Grizzly Hills

Continue north to Storm Peaks and kill
Gold Beetle- Halls of Stone, Halls of Lightning

Now head west into Icecrown to /love
Glacier Penguin

Now head Southwest to Sholozar Basin and show some love to
Sholozar Tickbird, there is a flock right in the Nesingwary camp.

Now, continue south to Borean Tundra and love
Borean Marmot - Borean Tundra
Tundra Penguin - Borean Tundra coast
before heading into the Nexus to kill
Crystal Spider- The Nexus, Oculus

If you are running Naxx anyway, these pests can be handled during your run, otherwise alternate locations are listed.
Larva- Naxxramas, Ghostlands
Maggot- Naxxramas, Ghostlands
Rat- Naxxramas, The Culling of Stratholme, Terokkar Forest

Now it is time to head to Outland:

Outland
In Zangermarsh, kill
Snake- Zangarmarsh

Fly into Hellfire Peninsula and snuff
Adder- Hellfire Peninsula
Scorpion- Hellfire Peninsula

Old World
Use the Portal to get to the old world because that will put you close to:

Moccasin- Swamp of Sorrows
While you are in the swamp anyway, /love Huge Toad

Then, head into the Searing Gorge to:
kill Fire Beetle- Searing Gorge\
and love Lava Crab

Finally, go to Westfall for this pest.
Mouse- Westfall

If I have left anything out, please let me know and I will change it.

Edited and sorted by area, which seems easier to me. There are a total of 4 in Naxx if you are running it anyway. However, all of these can be found in other places. The other 2 that are found in dungeouns should be close to the front door, so you should not have to fight any elites.

I completed this achievement before I did its "pre-requisite," To All The Squirrels I've Loved Before. As a result, I was immediately granted credit for that achievement, though I had not yet finished it.

As of patch 3.0.9, the above is no longer applicable. I completed the achievement, and when clicking on it ; it did indeed show two lots of "10" under it, however the pre-requisite achievement is still there and uncompleted, and I was only awarded 10 points for completing this one. Looks like you've got to do both!

Interesting and horrifying note: You do get credit for using /love on a dead animal. I'm not sure if this works for the original achievement, but it does for the second. I just /loved a dead Mountain Skunk.

If you aren't sure and don't want to keep checking here, /love a critter, /hug it, then shoot it.

Confirming that it does work on the first achievement as well. After I noticed this, I now kill, then love, any critter I come across, because I'm too lazy to check the achievement window to see which list it's on.

Why wouldn't you /love THEN kill it? At the very least you could give it a last moment of love in it's life before you snuff it out.

I mean your way works too it just seems... wrong...

Since nobody made a map for this achievement, while doing it I decided I would. Obviously the Lava Crab can be found in Searing Gorge.. but everything in Northrend is labeled. Enjoy!

I didnt find any huge toad in swamp of sorrow only in Zul'drak and the Hare was find in Durotar.

Noted: Love the Arctic hare didn't count for ( To All Squirrels Who shared My Life). You have to love HARE in Durator. I Dont know why a lot people posted Arctic Hare instead of HARE.

This is because you need to love the hare in durotar AND the Arctic hare in northrend.

Hares can also be found in Arathi Highlands on the east coast @ 54,48. You have to swim to it.

While zooming around for fishing, I noticed that Tundra Penguins can also be located in Dragonblight at Moonrest Gardens 20,68 on an iceberg just off the coast.

FYI... the lava crabs in searing gorge or EXCEPTIONALLY TINY and difficult to target... they're smaller than alot of the bugs in the game even. So go slow and look carefully.
