This could prove to be a chore for Druids (Feral ones especially) since shape shifting causes the buff to disappear.

I'll be playing AV a lot during this festival just to see Gnomes killing Gnomes. Gonna be great!

Could turn out to be a pain in the butt though as you will propably lose the buff when you die, so it will involve a lot of passive killing letting others do the job for you :)

Like said all achievements of winter veil are easy.
maybe a little bit to easy.

If u can remember the pain of rolling for the squashling
and Hallowed helm then even if the machine is not
in the BG or through death its still a piece of cake.

Not too worried, but then, I can spec disc, have my super bubble at the ready, and stand back to heal, but yes, will be hard either way =/. I just hope that the costume buff won't go away upon entering a siege, Wintergrasp kills ftw.

What if I join a.. let's say AV, get 5 HK's and then die, would it then be 5/50 as it doesn't say 50 in one BG round, if so this should be one of the easiest but take some time for non-rogues.

Exactly. You can get your 50 HK's in 50 different BG's if you want to (or in world pvp, if that's your preference).

Just remembered about Wintergrasp. You can go a whole battle without dying there. So in a way at wintergrasp it is possible to get this achievement.

The effect does not persist through death. I have been into 2 battlegrounds and gotten 3 Honorable kills before i was killed in the fray of about 6v6 people.

It does make it a lot harder to get, but if every achievement was easy to get then they wouldn't be achievements would they.

It is easy to do in Witnergrasp.
If you die, you right click on the minimap icon and choose "Leave Batleground", run to the Center of Dalaran, get transformed again and reenter the portal to Wintergrasp.

Really blizzard has to give up the restriction of shapeshifting removing costumes. Its not hard to see what form the druid use cause of the mana/rage or energy bar....
It sux to go to AV since people know druids cant use any forms and we are the by far most hk friendly target in the bg.
Tried to play defence and stay behind all but people just go around em to get us druids in the back thats acting like sitting ducks.
Would love to see a blizzard patch saying "Sprint,shadowstep,blink,invis,fear, anything that helps people survive, removes costumes" For the stupid idea blizz has on achieve/quests and stuff like this where we cant use travel form to gain distance,moonkin/bear to survive more then 2-3 hits from melee.....
/rant over from *!@#ed off druid that got 2hk in a single av before death in the backline..

While doing this achievement, you also have a good chance at completing Wrecking Ball, since it helps to stay alive to keep the PX-238 Winter Wondervolt buff up.

Seems that wintersgrasp would be the best to to do this in as you can leave and come back whenever you lose the buff.

Yea MUCH easier especially if your defending...hop into a destroyer and mow people over at the fort door, and if you die port to dalaran get a new buff and port back

I tried 5 or 6 SotAs and got a whopping 6HKs with the costume on. I went to Wintergrasp, hopped in a catapult and flame breathed my way to this achievement. Definitely easier to do if you're defending the courtyard since you can just light people up as they make for the keep stairs.

My advice is to get yourself in queue for the battles, then don your costume. Then, once you're in the match, try to keep on the periphery of battle. Any kind of caster will excel at this particular brand of combat, though it will be more difficult for melee-types. If you're melee, I suggest a drive-by tactics. Run in, slice 'em up a bit, run back out. Heal if you have to.

And, even though you probably shouldn't, there is always the option of leaving the match after you die :P.

The easy way to do it as a druid is to go to Wintergrasp or Strand of the Ancients and jump in a vehicle or turret.

This isn't that bad as a Boomkin druid with a fair amount of spellpower. Just join SoTA or AV and stick with a zerg and heal. Shadowmeld is your friend.

I did this in AV. It was surprisingly easy. Just stick with the crowd of gnomes so as not to stick out, and don't go off on any Rambo missions.

As "battlefreak" said, this is pretty easy if you are in Wintergrasp. Just go there while your faction is defending, take control of one of the canons and shoot the crap out of anything opposing that is coming your way. It took me less than 30 minutes to complete the achievement that way.

The most perfect way to do this achievement is the Strand of Ancients BG. The kills while you drive a tank, or shoot from the turret counts toward that achievement ^^.
Did like 5-6 battles and got that.

Hint for (feral) druids when you control Wintergrasp and the next match is coming up:

Set your hearth to Dalaran and use the Wondervolt in the middle of Dalaran
Take the portal to Wintergrasp when it opens (I'm yet unsure on whether it closes some time into the match)
Get into a raid group of the players fighting there (this is important, as kills not tagged to you will not count, though they count for the daily available there)
Man one of the defense towers on the outer walls, Alliance will usually attack from the East, Horde from the West.
Aim mostly for the vehicles, especially the ram tanks, since single players, if unengaged by other sources, are hard to take out, especially when they can heal. Good and expecting aim will help here a lot, though
If the attackers break through, fall back
If you somehow die throughout the match, hearth back to get the buff anew, if your hearth is on CD, simply leave the zone as you would leave a battleground (right-click icon at the minimap)

Definitely AV if you're lucky (I joined in the middle of a turtle--when else is that going to be considered lucky?--and got more like 80 HKs without dying or needing to shift as a druid), but with the Wondervolt in Dalaran, it definitely sounds like Wintergrasp is the more reliable way to go.

Unless you're a female tauren feral druid. Then you're just kind of hosed, I think.

For all you feral druids, if you can do Strahd of the ancients I suggest doing it for this achievement, you can use cannons and/or drive tanks while still getting kills without feelign so useless, or just hitting people with sticks. I was able to get the achievement as a feral druid, without respecc'ing or using healing gear in roughly 6 strahd of the ancient battles

Or you can get a "little help from your friends" by having a person equal to your level on the opposite faction stand at a graveyard and you kill him 50 times in a row and then he gets a costume and kills you 50 times. of course it wont work on PvP servers. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm guessing this might work. Anyone know if it will?

I would suggest trying to complete "Let it snow" while doing this. If you lose the costume as a druid, stealth around and pick off the remaining classes you need before AFK'ing out.

This is incredibly easy on PVP servers. Just go to lower level areas and gank people that are at least green to you. As long as they're not gray they count as honorable kills. Even as a feral druid this should be pretty easy as long as you have a flying mount and not just flight form.

Quick tip, especially if you're in the low 70s going into an 80 AV, stay away from the towers. I got pwned by archers before I could even get 1 HK.

If you are a Tauren Druid, you will feel that you PVP 10 times better than you usually do.

Even if you are Feral, toss on your healing gears, maybe a stam trinket just for more survivability.

Start healing everyone you see taking damage, you don't need to hide behind an obstacle or hug a wall, NOBODY will attack you unless you are in front of everyone else -_-

I joined an AV and I got 43 hks healing as Feral, the game ended in just about 8mins.

So don't get *!@#ed becoz you can't shapeshift, look at things on the brighter side, we Taurens definitely benefits more than what we lose.

50 kills isnt really that bad.
I hate pvp as well. But some things just have to be done. Don't go rushing into battle. Fight at places where more people are fighting. Out of 2 battles, 1 Eye of the Storm and 1 AV I have already 26 of the needed 50.
You don't need great gear to stay alive as long as you be careful. :]
I'm a protection specced level 78 warrior with just blacksmith crafts. Sure after a while I get killed like 10 times or so, but by then I already had 15 kills as well, so when it's finished, up to the next BG.

It is stupid that you can't use the costume while shapeshifted though. Feel sorry for the druids and shamans. :{

The way I did it as a pve prot warrior (though any PvP-terrible class could do it) is via wintergrasp when your faction owns the keep.

If you play with minimum graphics, you are going to have to bump the view distance slider up a notch or three to be effective (unless this causes your machine to explode, in which case it's doable, you just might take longer)

In this case, sit in dalaran until the battle is announced - there's a guy that will tell you how long is left. Wondervolt and portal just a bit after the battle starts. Grab a cannon asap, preferably the walls in front, or tower corners that belong to the workshops on either side of the wings.

Now for the easy part: Mash the 1 key.

Target everything on the ground that's hostile that you can. Try to aim the circle so that your target is right in the middle for maximum damage. Siege engines and players (who pop out of siege engines so don't stop the music), everything counts to your achievement total so long as you recently put some damage on what's dying. You don't have to be grouped. Beware of assassinations from opponents that sneak up behind you after some walls go down (just turn around and give them the business end).

If your cannon goes pop, find another, or enter the fray till you die.

In which case, you leave, wondervolt, and go back...or wait till next battle with castle ownership to go at it again.

lol funny how u all are complaining this is a very easy achievement just go to AV and stand on people make's it hard for the other side to see you. I got this in 1 AV try so 1 is all it should take and if u are about to die use some pots or stuff u can even say paying some money for personal healer

Easy, but not very contributing way to get this done on Alliance side...

1) Get costume
2) Queue AV
3) Move to Aid Station, SP GY or Icewing Bunker - somewhere with heavy battle.
4) Place yourself a bit to the side but still within proximity of the battlefield.
5) Shadowmeld and drink your cup of coffee.

Attention all druids... what ever form you are in when you enter the machine is the form you stay in while being a lil helper. IE. as a restro druid I entered the machine in tree form and then entered battleground in treeform. the only flaw with that is I couldnt mount up because i would have auto shapeshift then lost my buff. Lets just say... slow movin

I've been trying to get this since Winter Veil started, and finally succeeded, but not due to help from my friends... Not only do griefers try to whack you asap when they see you're on the achievement, I've had more than a dozen players on my side transform me with Hallow's End wands, to wash of the buff. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

This morning I was in wintergrasp with my achievement counter open and I noticed that I got a kill credit when I killed a NPC soldier. This was during a wintergrasp battle, and may not work when the battle is not in session, but killing NPCs in wintergrasp (and other bgs?) may be a way to speed up your kill rate for the achievement. Can anyone confirm if you get credit when a battle is not going on in wintergrasp?

Hook of the Master Angler removes the buff, just like virtually all model changing spells.

As said above wintergrasp is the way to go. Hell you can just sit in a turret near one of the walls being attacked, but as delrodo mentioned if your a decent WG player just roll over the hordies in a vehicle and the portal in dal really helps, i got this done in one battle, died twice.

I got this achievement rather easily as a feral druid, after reading most of the posts on here i thought oh dear, decided since it was 2:15 mins till the next Wintergrasp (Couldn't find that Blood Elf Warlock :) ). That i would try my first SotA as a level 75.

Just make sure you use the vehicles, and if you get low health on the vehicle, high tail it out of there. Finally Wintergrasp opened (yeah i was still trying, it was early on a Sunday with one bg open) and managed to get the rest of the kills, although not before being nuked by a Warlock with 2 kills left

The fastest way for me was doing this:

I went to Dalaran at the machine in the middle. Then I queued in for Strand of the ancients. The queue for for this BG is very short and the rounds are quick so no worries if you screw up and die.

I changed until I got the green gnome (easier to hide than in a flashy red suit). So what I did was stay close to the fighting but hide behind rocks and trees. There are really good spots close to the gates to hide. You don't even have to engage anyone as long as your close enough to the battles to get credits. Just sneak close to the fights and stay hidden. You'll get those HKs in two or three runs.

One of the easiest ways to do this is doing a turtle in AV. I just did this in AV, about 15 of us got the achievement, we had a turtle of about 30 people going and eventually killed the final guy. I didn't die once and got credit for 153 HK's, pretty nice :)

Appears as if horde can only get green suits and alliance only red suits this year? Tried over 50 times with my horde char and got green every time, and all allies jumping in got red every single time.. Perhaps to better differentiate them in PvP etc.. But kinda lame Oo

When trying to complete this, instead of leaving battleground, Press Alt + f4 to quit game, the debuff for deserting does not happen.

Being any kind of druid requires you to change shape to be the most effective.... Luckily, you can get honor kills without actually killing other players yourself.

Go to Wintergrasp.
Don't change shape.
Cast Tranquility on your group. Every player they kill will count as one for you.
Spam cast Rejuvenate on any player you see in your Faction. Same effect. Everyone they kill will count as a kill for you.
Or cast sweeping area effect spells like Hurricane or Starfall. If you hit an enemy player and then someone else kills them it counts for your kill total.

This type of strategy will work for any squishy caster type class.

I would recommend using the tower cannons found in Isle of Conquest. In one battle you can easily get 50 honorable kills without ever dying.

Isle of Conquest is the easiest place. Stay in your keep, run up the stairs to the turrets and shoot anything that runs past. Got this achivement in 2 IoC battles and didn't die once.

Will update this post if I find the answer... but I am curious which way is the easiest to get this achievement, WG or a BG. I am sorry to report in WG I got exactly 9 Honorable Kills and am wondering if I should bother to go back in WG or just do a BG and let the chips fall where they may. And if a BG is better, which one? Some are saying AV, some Strand.

Judging by all of the posts - it is not that hard actually :) but being a druid i will give my share of experience. After 7 different BGs (3 ultra fast AV - just run and take the base) with just 11 kills I got in WG while attacking and hid behind the big rock in front of the fortress. First try = success.

Gotta say, I went to Isle of conquest, defended the keep in a tower gun. I was done in 10 mins.

I Qu'ed up in Dalaan, in case I needed to suit-up again, but there was no need.

On my server/faction at least, AV is HORRIBLE for this achievement. I got 1 kill once, and 2 kills in the next. Gave up and went to AB and got 35 kills.

I tried AV but everyone was out for us 'wondervolt' peeps - followed another posts advice - went to Isle of conquest - ran upstairs to a cannon and just kept shooting...had 50 hon about halfway thru..died and still kept fighting and we won that one!

Went to WG as a Little Helper, and easily got 50 kills =) Note that you don't have to get the killing blow, someone else in your raid group has to, and it will count as an honorable kill for you. So just stick around with groups of people like I did, and you'll be fine.

Isle of Conquest made this reaaaaaaal easy. Just follow along with the massive group, stay out of dodge, and rack up the HKs.

Personally, I agree, just do WG, hell I half the time get my promotions before I even SEE horde, if I join after the battle starts...just grab a tank or cannon, or turret, and start shooting, hell if you don't have a target aim for where the action SHOULD be... might get lucky... I'm a feral tank and this is gonna be how I get it... but still, I personally think they should not require this for meta, or make the buff stack over our forms cuz, making this impossible for one particular spec to get is BS...

as for people saying we should have to work for it, thats a good point, but if I'm not mistaken world events are for "fun" and who is to say alliance and horde working together to complete achievements ISN'T "fun" and "in the spirit"...kinda like the english and the germans sharing xmas dinner in the trenches...
