Any NORMAL idea how to do that?
Because spores have a agro I think that should get a agro from anybody and tanking whole fight...
But... If tank-warrior get a agro from spores - it will die... I think it will be same story with any other class who can reflect damage...
For sure, paladin with righteous fury and healing will be great, but it's very difficult to get agro on that 4 sec when healers can get agro..

I't lifetime is exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds, then it dies by itself, ~~and does Fungal Creep buff on all nearby players, so it's recommended that ranged people stay near healers~~. Usually healers get attacked by those Spores (20-40 dmg on cloth/leather users).

edit: spores despawn, and does not give buff. So if somone got buff, then spore is killed, and achivement will not be possible.

This Achievement appears to be bugged. We did it last night, the entire raid just moved around the room clockwise (tank and boss included) avoiding spores as we go. The problem seems to be that the spore eventually die on their own and even tho none of us were near them to get the spore buff we still didnt get credit for the Achievement. If anyone figures out a way around that plz let us know.

This achievement has been confirmed as fixed as of patch 3.0.8. Did this tonight on 10-man, simply ignored the spores, who seemed to just chip away (barely) at the healers. Very easy achievement.

We got this achievement just then, we had all people focus on the boss, no aoe damage WHATSOEVER, we got the achievement in one shot.

We had 2 casters, 3 healers, 2 tanks, 3 melee dps. We all put in max dps killing him in 7 minutes.
Our highest dps reaching 3.8k
Spore's despawned on us, but we still seem to get the achievement. We had no thorns auras up or anything, we had a warrior tank which could of hurt with his shield.

We did manage to get it with some ease though.

I'm writing here a short list of buffs / spells you shall not use, which caused us to fail.

DK: Obviously, pestilence and all that AoE stuff. Just to remember, Wandering Plague will cause the spores to die. Also avoid Army of the Dead.
Mages: Molten armor. yes, the spore may try to hit you and die if it crits (+ignite = death!). Mirror image is also a menace.
Druids: Thorns. Don't use it!
Warriors: Please, if you're not the only tank, then remove your shield, because the damage return kills spores too!
Warlock: Imp's Fire Shield!
Hunter: check your pet for aoe moves (thunderstomp, swipe, flame breath or whatever)
Paladins: Retribution aura, divine storm
Shamans: Chain Lightning, Searing totem (yes!) and lightning shield
Priest: none observed. Be cautious with shadowfiend though.
Rogues: Blade Flurry, Fan of Knives and Killing Spree.

I'll add up as I remember / get told about more spells. Hope it helps avoiding some frustrating attempts!

We found a somewhat cheesy tactic, which actually worked and got us the achievement on the first try.

We put our holy paladin in the middle of Loatheb's room with righteous fury on and every time the aura faded he would get a holy light off, which gave him just enough healing threat to make the spores stick to him.

Meanwhile I was moving Loatheb around the room, sticking to judgement, shield of the righteous and hammer of the righteous for threat. Our raid leader would call out on VT whenever a new spore was due to spawn, and everyone would stop their aoe spells until it had spawned. There were a few close shaves when the spore spawned right on top of us, but then it was just a matter of moving away very fast.

The valkyrs spawned by Nibelung kill them although the staff owner never changed his target.

As a holy paladin, I stood in a back corner of the room with Righteous Fury turned on, and judged wisdom on the boss the entire fight and got aggro on most spores when they spawned, and just kept them all there. They can aggro on any other player in your raid who is also giving mana back during the fight (shadow priest, etc) so you can Righteous Defense off of them, or single target taunt if they aggro onto your tank, but careful--they don't have much health! Your melee can still aoe as part of their rotation as long as no spore is near them before you pick it up.
