Easiest of all the seasonal achievements, requiring no luck at all to complete.

The hardest one will be Torch Juggler. On the last summer, I went to Exodar to avoid the crowd. This time, it's @ Dalaran, which in beta lags even worse than Shatt.

not that easy, you need at least 440 Burning Blossom to obtain full midsummer set and torches. And that probably means you'll miss the opportunity to buy other midsummer goods (minipet and dancing flame)

You will get more then enough burning blossoms from completing the other parts of the achievement.

King of the Fire Festival (25 blossoms/flame stolen)
The Fires of Azeroth (5 blossoms/fire)
Desecration of the Horde (10 blossoms/fire)

More Torch Catching (5 blossoms/day)
Shards of Ahune (20 blossoms)
Midsummer questline also gives a few more,

You will be able to gather almost 900 blossoms / year so if u have any of the items from previous years this should be easy.

I had captured flanme from when it was a quest reward, so i was able to buy all items.

Also you guys seem to miss, that Northend is there as well. If you looked up the midsummer event you will see fires on outland. It would be weird if this wasn't considered and they'd leave out fires in northend :)

Outland had 14 - 2 per Area

Northend has 10 Areas (incl. Wintergrasp/Crystalsong) - that'd be about 20 more fires - with each fire you will be able to obtain.

Finding a bonfire of your own faction and speaking to the appropriate NPC will reward you with 5 Burning Blossom.

-> 10x5 = 50 Blossom

Finding a bonfire of the opposite faction and using (stamping upon) it will reward 10 Burning Blossom.

-> 10x10 = 100 Blossom

Counting in the old midsummer blossoms:

As there are 32 Alliance Fires and 30 Horde Fires, you can get as Alliance 460 Blossoms, and as Horde 470 Blossoms, not counting quests or capital bonfires.

That makes a total of 610 Blossoms (A) / 620 Blossoms (H)

Taking quests into account:

22+20 Through Ahune (though on lvl 80 there probably will be a "better" version of this guy)

Major city flames
4x25

(subtotal: 100+42+610(+10) => 752 (A) / 762 (H)

Dailies: Midsummer is a 15 Days Event
20x15 = 300

So - the maximum possible reachable amount of blossoms will most likely be:

1052 for the Alliance
1062 for the Horde

You can multiply these

Ill explain:

1. Get a friend and let him join your group.
2. Start throwing them on yourself while your friend stands in you ( like hugging/stacking )
3. Your friends will also receive the falling torches.
4. Now both start throwing em on urself while hugging/stacking

in the end u will end up for 40 torches both =)

NOTE: U both need to have completed the throwing/catching torch quest u get from the NPC's at the fire camps

All the other Achievements on the midsummer are "collect this there and destroy this over here".

Which adds up to the following:

400 Blossoms needed to buy the whole set

you will have a leftover of about 650 for each side

Sadly, the pet costs 350 and the dancing draenei costs 350 - if you are lucky you might be able to buy both - maybe I have overseen about 50 blossoms you might be able to get.

Otherwise - hard decision - though I'd be going for the pet.

Already got a hot draenei - not a burning one - but with a little fantasy ... ;)

Note that the achievement https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/achievement=272] was introduced before WoTLK came out and it clearly stated it will be obtainable only after it comes out. So I doubt they will implement an achievement that requires Northrend fires, if there will be any fires in Northrend (they dont quite suit the climate too :p) at all.

At 5 Blossoms/Honor, and 10 Blossoms/Desecrate Alliance gets 175 Blossoms, Horde gets 170 Blossoms.

Each faction may also visit the opposing factions capital cities, and extinguish the flames there, for 25 Blossoms per flame.

At 25 Blossoms each, Alliance gets 100 Blossoms, Horde gets 100 Blossoms.

Total, Alliance gets 680 Blossoms, Horde gets 690 Blossoms.

It costs 400 Blossoms to buy the entire outfit needed for Burning Hot Pole Dance, the pet is 350, and the braziar is 350.

Alliance will need an extra 420 Blossoms, Horde will need an extra 410 Blossoms to buy everything, which you will have to get from the daily quests.

There are two dailies that offer Blossoms, 5 each for More Torch Catching ( A / H ) and More Torch Tossing ( A / H ).

There is also the daily to kill Lord Ahune, but it does not offer any Blossoms.

Good idea to start getting some PvP Gear for this, as it might take a little World PvP to accomplish these achievements. I'm sure looking foward to it, this is a requirement for the Violet Proto Drake, but also one of the funnest Seasonal Events if you're into PvP.

Don't be surprised to see a lot fo Faction Raids (For the Alliance/Horde) on your City during this event. For those of you that like to hide and cower in the AH when your city is under attack, best to /leave localdefense.

The reason that you can complete the desecration and honoring is because when you do so you actually completes a quest. The quests can be completed once each year.

Btw because desecrating/honoring is done be quests you will receive experience. You might want to take your alt to some of the fires.

Also sinces they're quests and gives experience they will give gold to players at maximum level. In 70 it was 3-4 gold.
When you think about how many bonfires there is you find out that desecrating/honoring literally pays off :D

Did this achievement on the first day of the celebration. Its not really difficult, but it takes a LOT of time to complete the sub-achievements.

For all those who have partially completed the honoring / desecrating quests last year:

You can obtain 150 blossoms through daily quests (event lasts 15 days, you get 5 for each of the 2 daily quests).
You can repeat 3 of the 4 flame stealing quests (Exodar and Silvermoon cannot be repeated, all other cities can), for a total of 75 blossoms.
You can obtain 120 blossoms through Northrend flames.
You can trade torches, therefore you won't have to buy them with the character with which you are working on the meta-achievement.

Using these options, you will end up with 345 blossoms, leaving you only 55 short of the required 400 for the completed midsummer festival clothing set.

If you haven't honored / desecrated all of the flames last year, chances are you may not have to wait for Blizzard to hotfix the world event. Honoring your faction's flames will award you 5 blossoms each, desecrating the opposing faction's flames will award you 10 blossoms each.

Greetings!

While the Midsummer Fire Festival event has begun, we wanted to take some time to explain that there are some currently known issues with the Festival, and to let the community know that we are working on resolving them.

The first issue, and what seems to be the most prevalent reported issue, is regarding gaining Fire Blossoms from fire quests that were completed last year. This affects the Honor the Fires and Desecrate the Fires quests, as they appear to have not reset from last year. We understand the concerns many players have about being able to obtain enough blossoms for this year to buy what they wish, and we are actively working on the issue.

Second, there have been many reports that the quest “Unusual Activity” has not reset from last year. This is being investigated by development.

In addition, we have had many players report that Crown of the Fire Festival from last year is not granting achievement credit for King of the Fire Festival. This appears to be a result of the quest not having been completed while the achievement system was live (as last Midsummer was before the achievement system was implemented). If it were to grant retroactive achievement for King of the Fire Festival, it would have been granted upon launch of the achievement system.

While we do apologize for any frustration, we want to actively assure the community that we are working on resolving these issues, and any others that may appear. We will update this post with information as we get it.

I think the torch juggler was really easy, just find a place there you can be alone and then just spam torches on you and you will do fine.

If you have some alts to level, level them now (after you've got the achievment on your main ofcourse ;)). The three buffs you can get are pretty awesome for leveling. Good Luck :)

Fantastic for EXP if you are still levelling up. Took me 2-3 days though as I boosted my character through instances with the Recruit-A-Friend triple experience. As a result, I had no flight paths in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms and I had to mount everywhere!

But at Level 78, I got almost 1 million of EXP alone.

This holiday is great for making money. Considering all the desecration/ honor quest are daily, you can make ridiculous gold. I got all the achievements for this holiday done in a 24 hour period from scratch and also made a cool 800g.

I'm planning to do this achievement when it comes around on the 21st of June.
I'm just wondering if you can buy the festival clothes with the burning blossoms, do the achievement by dancing on the pole then resell them with a full refund (from one of the recent patches where you can resell something within 2 hours of playtime) then buy the other cool rewards, namely the pet and dancing Dranei :D
