Difficult to find as an ally on Coilfang - I needed x4 for my flying carpet through tailoring. The quickest way I found was to buy adamantite ore and look for a 325+ JC to prospect. These are an 18% drop from adamantite prospecting (also 18% for fel iron ore but on my server there was more adamantite and it was cheaper) I bought 5 stacks which cost me 150g - and tipped a JC 10g to prospect them. From the 5 stacks I ended up with x7 Golden draenite - I used the 4 i needed and sold the extra 3 for 65G ea on AH. In the end I profited by about 20g - and that does not include the 12+ other gems that I got from prospecting 5 stacks - I threw those in my GV in case someone needs them but I am sure I could have easily made another 250G on the AH. In retrospect - this is not only a great way to get some Golden Draentie, but also a great way to make some extra Gold.

The 18% they list is utter hogwash. I have prospected well over 100 fel iron ores and at least 40 Adamantite ores and in the whole process gotten ONE golden draenite. Try again, Wowhead.
