It shows clearly that the shield does not drop off the Zhevra.

I was just randomly running through the quest 'Weapons of choice'....was in the area near where to get the items for the quest (south west barrens) When i came across a 'battered Chest' in a quilboar hut......open up and out pops the shield

It's a random world drop, and Wowhead counts the drops.
The item level has nothing to do with the level of the mob.

This is a good shield for 1h+shield warriors/paladins/shaman in the 19 bracket that prefer stats over pure armor and blocking power.

I was farming RFK tonight to get items to DE to level my enchanting had this and https://www.cuckhead.com/wotlk/item=1121 drop. The best instance run I have ever done.

Of course I DE'd both of them as I'm 61 and I thought the glimmering shards are worth more to me.....................lol......................as if I would be that stupid :)

Hopefully I can make 150g combined by selling them on AH

If it wasn't kick ass before, the changes to prot warrior make this so much nicer. Warriors can get a lot of mitigation from this, its even twink worthy now.

this is the absolute best. i hav it on my warr with the 7 stam chant. even tho it hav less armor then the other 2 twink sheilds, and less stam than the one with 7stam and 1 spir, the str is a helpful dps in wsg for a twink

Someone who gets this please check if it has something to do with Grum Redbeard (bring it to him), the dwarf in the grave cavern behind Starfall in Winterspring. They are sharing the same same, and the dwarf is not yet known to be for anything. There is at least a small chance this shield has something to do with him...

Yes this is a very good thing for a pally twink... but if ur goin to make a pally twink i suggest to u that u give him searing blade, smites reaver, or night reaver. This is a good one is u like a sheild and one handed weapons... its up to u. But if u get this u should have either skeletal club, cruel barb, or shadow fang with it. VERY GOOD COMBOS

If you want the best shields check out Arctic Buckler and Deadskull shield. I didn't know about these when i made my twink and because these are quest rewards it was to late. You can get these quests at 19.

Peeps on my server think nothing can sell at a reasonable price. I disagree. Saw this on there for somewhere between 5-9 gold, which I'm sure the seller thought was a fortune since our server sucks, but I bought it with the intention of selling it for no less than 20. Took me about a week and numerous times posting, but I sold it last night for a 23gold buyout.

Teens, please quit telling everyone they are asking too much for items! Chances are we know what we're doing and the reason you always say people are asking too much is that you always find yourself begging 70s for money in front of the bank. Underworld Band dropped for me last night and it isn't going for less than 80gold. Of course, when I posted in trade everyone was like "Der 20g?" "Der der der 80! more like 50 max, Der!" We'll see.

If you're really trying to twink a 19 for WSG, this isn't the best choice. Assuming you have at least 1 friend over 35ish.

Just have someone share Blackfathom Villany with your twink-to-be at around level 18.
Now go in with a 35+ friend and clear BFD except for Keris, then log to your twink and have the friend kill Keris so your twink can loot his head for Arctic Buckler.

The frost resist will help your odds of running a flag past a mage, and it has a good deal better armor and block.

Best of all, you don't have to kill 73,000 level 25 mobs to find one.
Just 1 clearing of BFD and it's a guarantee.

get both ... make a choice after you use both of them and see what is best for your build. not everybody builds twinks the same and most shield users who are warriors or paladins can utilize the str advantage this shield has at the loss of the armor that the arctic buckler provides.

This item is godly on level 19 Paladins, Shamans, and Warriors. I only had to pay 5 gold for it, plus I bought a +7 stamina enchant for it.

I have gotten this Redbeard Crest on 3 seperate occasions starting at lvl 25 and last one was at lvl 34, sold them all for various prices. Gotta love this shield, its my bread and butter.
