Whispers of Old Gods - New Hearthstone Expansion?
There's been a lot of talk today about Blizzard subtly teasing the upcoming Hearthstone expansion. While some have been more obvious than others, such as the addition of a snow covered sword on the Hearthstone website's user bar, others like this require a good amount of thought to decrypt.

Blizzard Trademarks "Mists of Pandaria," Next Expansion?
Put on your tinfoil hats--it looks like an April Fools' joke may become a reality. Last week, Blizzard filed for a trademark for "Mists of Pandaria" under computer software. This is a common practice for the registration of expansion titles; for example, the Cataclysm was filed for trademark on June 26, 2009 and its domain was bought subsequently. Similarly, a Pandaria domain was also purchased last week.
This means that it's possible that the next expansion will be announced at BlizzCon and that it will be Mists of Pandaria.
Let the speculation run wild--what do you guys think? Is this our future expansion or a false alarm? Will the pandarens be a playable race for both sides, a neutral faction even though Blizzard has said that they like factions to be identifiable and distinct for horde and alliance? Or maybe their role will be more of a lore one, focusing on them as quest hubs and a central conflict?

New Expansion Rumored to be Vengeance of the Void
There's "
a leaked document
" from Blizzard making the rounds this holiday weekend; we figured we'd post it here before you guys started tipping us off to it and asking why we didn't respond to it. Like anything that's unofficial and comes from an unreliable source, this is an
unconfirmed rumor
and
probably fake
so take it with a grain of salt; there's a good chance it's just some fan trying to get their fifteen minutes of fame. However, it's definitely a well done fake if it is one. The only really suspicious part is the header itself which has the wrong address (Blizzard is based in Irvine, CA)--the person who created this knows their lore.
The "document" mostly gives an overview of what levels 85-90 will be like, detailing how the expansion will take place years after the Burning Crusade and focus on Outland's growing instability. The Burning Legion would be the central antagonist after Deathwing's demise. Demon Hunters will also supposedly take a supporting role in the expansion, though not as a playable class.
This would be an interesting direction--TBC and the Outlands in general are long considered the best expansion, the setting having earned a fond place in most player

April Fools' 2011 - We Won't Forget You, Crabby
Yet another April Fools' Day has come and gone softly into the night, leaving in its wake a bunch of jokes and rumors. This year seemed tame to the previous one, where we heard about everything from top guilds merging to aquariums being added, but sometimes tame is good--especially where being pranked is concerned. All in all, there were still some great jokes around the WoW community to be found and fun to be had.
Some of our favorites were:
WarcraftPets
told us about a newly implemented companion loyalty
. I mean, as Breanni puts it, Hunter pet loyalty is gone--but where exactly did it go?
A guild some of you may have heard of, Paragon,
came up with an elaborate guide to an encounter involving a certain Firelord you may also have heard of
.
Wings of Chaos and Divine Wings
made us sad when we realized they weren't
really
available.
WoWInterface introduced their own authenticator[
