Azjol-Nerub, also known as the Spider Kingdom (pronounced "ah-ZHOL nuh-ROOB"), is the vast underground empire of the arachnid Nerubians, located on the icy continent of Northrend. The entrance to Azjol-Nerub can be found in the northern reaches of the Dragonblight.
However, it seems as though a large portion of the underground Azjol-Nerub caverns was pushed upwards by a cataclysm, ascending the underground ruins toward the surface as the ice broke. Nerubians no longer inhabit these Riplash Ruins; therefore, the naga took residence within the abandoned ruins. Before its destruction by the Scourge, Azjol-Nerub contained huge libraries of literature, philosophy, and arcane lore.
In Lands of Mystery Azjol-Nerub is described as being its very own zone, located underground. The kingdom consists of two main sections, the Old Kingdom, and the Upper Kingdom. Part of the Upper Kingdom is controlled by dwarves, who control a small town known as Doorward, while some areas are controlled by the Scourge. Deeper underground is the Old Kingdom, which is controlled by potentially "neutral" Nerubians. Brann Bronzebeard claims it may be possible for an alliance with their faction if one is willing to help them clear out the Scourge from their Empire. Still, some areas are controlled by the Faceless Ones.

i rly hope Anub'arak isnt put in so low a instance i was hopeing to see him in a raid. I had high hopes for the fight aswell like put him in a raid like mag, with him being the only boss ( but unlike mag make it harder ). i was even thinking how the fight could go maybe have something to the effect of his moves in WCIII like everytime someone dies adds spawn it would diffently make the fight fun XD , in the end i was just hopeing for more from a hero in the story line ( hell Sapphiron was a big boss in nax and he was kinda only in 1 part of the game >_> )

Good point mum. He was such a cool character in the War3 Expansion, and I really had hoped he would join Arthas as one of the hardest bosses. Also, the Akama thing does make sense because it was the Nerubians who pretty much had Northrend under their rule until the Scourge...the fact that he might have a chance to rule that land unopposed could have some cool lore emerge, but I'm sure like the dragon Arthas revived in the game and Kel'Thuzad, not to mention the aspect Malygos, will be a superb challenge.

Some rumors and i really hope they're true is that he will make an appearance in a 25-man raid, i certainly think making a king of beetle's and a strong hero in wc3 a measly pathetic 5-man boss is one of the dumbest things blizz has done if he is in the raid then i think its fine but if we KILL him with noly 5 people is really stupid.

Very fast instance. Tanked it at 70, but I am in T6ish gear so it wasn't that bad. Don't go in low and have poor gear. The gauntlets will mana drain the healers.
A word on Anub'barak, I was VERY disappointed to have killed him at level 70. I was hoping for a raid encounter. But the fight is fun and keeps you on your toes.
At the appropriate level I will consider this to be a cake walk.

I did it 5 times today with a reasonably well geared group - mostly t5+
took us about average of 25 minutes for a full clear.

This is the shortest instance I have ever run. There are a total of 9 pulls.
You zone in, pull a 2 man pat. you run around the corner, and there is the first boss. This starts a gauntlet where he sends 3 waves of 3 elite mobs after you. After they die, he engages you. Once he is dead, you continue down a birdge to the second gauntlet. In this gauntlet, you pull 3 groups of 1 elites, but during the entire time, smaller non-elites are coming to fight you (Somewhat similar to CoT: BM). Once the Three elites are dead, the boss will come up to fight the non-elites. Once the boss has killed all but 1 of the non-elites, start the fight (The non-elites take off a fair amount of her health). Once she is dead, you run down the web, drop down to her room, jump a LONG way down a hole, and land in water. You get out, run down some stairs, and there is the final pull, a 2 elite group, and right beyond them is Anub'arak. Make sure everyone is inside the right for Anub'arak, or they will get locked out.
In total, takes about 15 minutes.

Tanked this as a Level 71 Paladin in WoLTK greens/blue tank gear, with a level 73 Priest, 2 Shamans and a Rouge all 70-72.
It was easy, not only that but the instance is incredibly short, only 1 or 2 pulls before each boss.
Anub'arak being the most difficult and the most challenging, as well as fun.
However everyone needs to be on their A-game as the trash mobs have unique abilities and can be mana intensive if DPS doesn't move out of the way at the right time.

This instance is insanely quick.
A 20 min run w/o wipes easy.
Although I am angry Anub'Arak is reduced to a dungeon boss, this is a fun dungeon to do, and expect it to the the most populated heroic

Heroic difficulty:
im 20K unbuffed, 523 def rating with 19K pre-devo aura armor.
This place is tough. Its a DPS race through and through it seems.
First boss: NOTE*** The pull order in normal is left, right, middle for the mini-bosses. In Heroic it changes to left, middle, right. Basically the exact same fight. Skirmishers cannot be taunted. I focus them down first then webbers / casters. 1 minute enrage timer once the gatewatcher pulls
Second boss: DPS DPS DPS. DO NOT TANK ON THE LEFT HAND PILE OF STUFF. We had him @ 10% twice and he evaded us w/o us realizing it. The key to this fight is hefty dps (weve got 3 1.5K+ DPS members in teh group right now) and .....drumroll...... dispel the leech poison. 1000 health / second on everyone its on. That means he's healing 5K per second. Take a quicky for math. 3 x 1.5K = 4.5K. You aren't even dealing damage, he's healing. Youve GOT to take it off; even if it means the pally tank is doing nothing but holy shield, cleanse cleanse cleanse shield of righteousness cleanse cleanse holy shield.......
We're not to the third boss yet.

Just tried this with a reasonable group.

And me the Feral Druid Tank.
I am uncrittable (all ferals are) with 26k HP self-buffed.
We didn't even FIGHT the first boss.
Priests are vital here, a shackle or you just wont make it. Having a hunter will make life easier, the Skirmishers have an ability which makes them taunt immune. They will charge a random member of the group (although every time throughout our 8 tries it was the healer) and stick to them for 10 seconds. The hunter will need to Tranq Shot it, then have it taunted.
The pulls SHOULD be scripted to come at a certain time in a certain order, we pulled the center group first, the the group to the left came after about 90 seconds. But sometimes BOTH groups came from either side, which of course wiped us. If a Skirmisher hadn't beaten the crap out of our healer already, of course.

Let me add. For Anub'arak the bats that come in the last couple phases of him going underground NEED TO BE KILLED! We wiped many times, and its the poisons that makes your group die. The bat are easy to kill, and their venom is NASTY! Put the elites on hold while you make sure the trash is cleared.

Killed the last boss on heroic today with a warrior tanking, destro lock, boomkin, ret pally, and a druid healing.
Ret pally works really nice in terms of cc for the adds that come while the boss is underground, and also for taking out the weaker non-elite adds. On the 2nd and 3rd wave when the venomancers come out the pally stunned one with Repentance and feared the other with Turn Evil while we finished killing the other adds.
If it's possible I'd highly suggest taking a ret pally as it will make the last boss fight on heroic much easier.

Did this today on Heroic. Good group, but we had some bugs (pun intended) on the last boss.
We smashed the adds everytime, but after the second wave, when he surfaced, he was always facing the wrong way. It was impossible to tell which way he was facing because he wouldn't move and no matter where we ran, myself and the rogue got hit by the pound.
The venomancers are very bad and do a lot of damage. They need to be shutdown through stuns or CC very quickly and dpsed down as fast as possible.
Aside from that, it was simply a matter of knowing what needed to die first and appropriate use of stuns, CC and so on.

And if you dont have a faction tabard you gain Reputation with Horde Expedition, might be worth mentioning.
And if you're Alliance? Vangard Expedition as I would highly doubt that Alliance players would gain rep with Horde for doing Heroics.

This instance is one of a really fun, quick run. It reminds me a little of CoT: Black Morass in that it is very quick, not a ton a trash but offers some pretty good loot.
The art direction in the place is very cool and the bosses are interesting and varied. Our guild group went in without knowing anything about the fights and had no real issues learning and adapting on the fly. We had a 73 Blood spec Death Knight (me) tanking, a 73 hunter, a 73 rogue, 74 boomkin druid and a 74 holy priest healing.
The only death was on the last boss we learned that a "door" closes for anyone not on the platform. The last boss fight is one of the most fun fights that I've had in the game, though now that I know what to expect, I figure it won't be as intense.
Overall a great, quick instance and a fun way to spend half an hour in the game. And as an added bonus, it has a quick exit, which is always a nice plus in my book.

Easily the hardest non-raid Heroic in the game right now, it will earn you a reputation if you have a group that completes it without wiping, you'll no doubt see a lot of comments of people claiming how easy it is and yada yada, which shows you it has a hard reputation.
Don't expect to do it without some great CC and DPS, in fact don't even bother, we tried on Heroic after not wiping on three other Heroics, a pug, but a great one, and we just were absolutely trounced by this thing, the trash is merciless at the gate, and even after following all the advice here, our Naxx geared healer ran out of mana by the third wave and it was over.
Be prepared is my advice, you'll need a lot of wits for this.

It's kind of funny because the comments on here are shared for normal versus heroic, I just went for my first heroic and the scripted pulls at the gate are
BRUTAL.
I didn't even know what to do and we did fine on normal. This is a tale of two instances
-The skirmisher's have a random target charge - de-aggro (not sure if its a fixate) - Our best attempts were when we chain stunned the mob after a charge, though cc'ing it and saving it till the end seems to be the best.
While in other heroics so far using CC has been laughed at, I think doing it here at least for the gate keeper pulls is pretty essential.

Heroic
First boss is really hard. The mobs before the boss are harder the boss. Skirmishers seem to randomly charge (inmune to taunt) and instantly kill any clother. They need to be cc'ed as top priority.
Our group consisted in:
Feral druid (34k self-buffed tank) (innervate the healer after the 2nd wave)
Holy priest (aka I_love_shackle)
Mage
Hunter (aka I_love_traps)
Rogue (aka_don't_bother_doing_dps...just_stun_them)
Ask the hunter to place the freeze trap just before the group, shackle the skirmisher and focus on the caster. Once both the caster and the 'named' are down, then go after ther skirmisher, but keep him stunned. We did it without problems, but just because our group was the best possible.
We have tried to keep the healer off the line of sight of the skirmisher, but it ocasionally caused some problems with the LoS with the tank.

In the notice of their being a certain lack of how to actually *handle* the instance of people and more an awe of how to pull it off : (All is done off handily based on Heroic Runs, feel free to correct):
First leg mobs
:
Skirmishers
will charge a random target and will attack for 10 seconds straight; they cant be taunted off but it appears that normal non-taunt threat builders may be possible to pull them off. Either way, just kill them first and you won't have to worry about it - if skirmishers charging people constantly before you can kill them is a serious issue, go and get more gear before you come back.
Shadowcasters
: Standard caster type mob; squishy, high damage, high priority on kills as well. Can silence/interrupt.
Warriors
: High single target DPS tank and spank types.
Webwinders
: Do the lovely and oh so annoying "Web Wrap" which is a 10 second stun, but the webs have roughly 1k hp (Heroic) and can easily be removed. If you see someone about to get wrapped (the animation plays around them before they are stunned) target them and get ready to slap an attack on them - if you can put out over 1k in a hit, than they will be instantly released. They also do a Blinding Web attack which is a standard daze. If they are issues, take them out, but generally low priority in my groups.
First Boss: "The Gatekeeper"
This event starts when you pull the one of the three Watchers that are arranged infront of him - its a timed event, so you want to drop them quick as you can. The one of the left will be your biggest issue most likely; he has an AoE poison splash for a fair bit of damage - the other watchers are tank and spank enraging types. Once you kill one Watcher, let the next one come to you - the glory of timed events is if you kill them fast enough you can get a couple seconds break to restore yourself.
UPDATED INFORMATION
: If you DO decide to pull the Watchers there is nothing wrong with that, but be aware they have a fixed order that he sends them out at. The order they go is left group, right group, center group. You can NOT over-ride this, so if you pull any other group when he triggers the first send he will send the left group, and so on and so forth.
The boss himself is relatively easy; he's a tank and spank that will summon up scarabs in large swarms - drop an AoE when they are out to control the scarabs - they don't have much health, but will muck with a squishies day.
Second Leg Mobs:
As you leave the first room you will enter the spiders web; and yet another timed event - AN is pretty much one gigantic gear check. The event starts when you pull the first Crusher from the middle - pull him to the back of the room for once he's pulled two more will come out of the holes in the back. These will not add, if your not in the middle. Crushers hit hard and will enrage at around 25% health - all other mobs are non-elites and standard melee/caster types - kill them as they come, drop crusher. Throughout the start of the event non-elites will pour from the holes in the back at a pace of one every roughly 20 seconds at the very least. Pick these up and grab the next crusher, and than rinse and repeat till its gone. Go to the back of the room and wait for Hadronix to finish coming up. If she comes out when your still fighting, your dead.
Second Boss: "Spidey"
You will want to wait for her to web off the holes in the back wall and therefore stop the flow of non-elite trash; theres an achievement to do it while they come out.. But the irritation of that is that she has a poison that will heal her for the damage it does, and if someone dies while its on it does a large % based heal to her... And that includes the mobs. So best to wait for them to be finished off and than she will run at you - pick her up before she attacks the healers.
Had' is quite easy.. Assuming you can remove the poison. Shes a tank and spank that will occasionally drop acid clouds behind her, drag her out of them when she does and continue. If you cant remove the poison, its a DPS check and you will simply have to out DPS the self-healing she does.
UPDATED INFORMATION
: If you go for the achievement on her try to pull her with as few non-elites as possible. Your choice from than on is whether you want to clear off all the current non-elites and than continue or simply DPS her down. Maintain a kite on her so that the non-elites stay out of her poison cloud, contrary to all common sense you DONT want them to die, because each time they die (if they have her poison on them, which is safe to expect) she regenerates 5% HP. With strong healing, strong avoidance and mitigation on a tank, and some heavy DPS, its possible to drop her with the trash clustered on your tank. You'll really want to be geared for all the AN achievements.

Third Leg Mobs:
Follow the path down and take the hole in the ground to the last bit; theres two mobs here : kill one than the other, they hit hard and will put a Mark on someone - the mark ticks for roughly 1.4k shadow damage damage and when it is done will explode for 4-5k on anyone in a small radius. They also will progressively reduce your damage the longer you fight them, so polish them off quick.
Final Boss:
Anub'arak is more of an annoyance than a real challenge. Get on the platform as it is webbed off after the fight starts. Tank run through him to the back wall, than back him up so his back is to the wall. Group goes behind him, tank stays infront - he does a frontal cone "Slam" that stuns for 5 seconds and does an irritating amount of damage. I've had it hit up to 30k on me, albeit that was a freak non-crit occurance - generally it hits for 15k and thus can be tanked and spanked through. However in interests of not being removed from fight for 5 seconds and not risking the extra damage, when he goes to slam - simply run back. He will turn to follow you if you move to the side, and thus catch group, but he wont move if you walk backwards out of slam and thus don't have to eat it.
Periodical moves :
Locust Swarm (Low AoE damage).
Scarabs (Summons a relatively small batch of scarabs up from the ground; just aoe them down).
So in this phase of it he's... Very straight forward - the reason he is annoying is he likes to dip beneath the ground at which point you cant attack him. You will see a ground shifting disturbance on the ground; move out if it - he impales up through the ground which does a fair bit of straight forward damage and as your launched in the air you will fall back and take falling damage ontop of that. While underground he will also call in a variety of non-elites; they are all tank and spank with the priority on darters as they will give a poison onto the group. Two groups of elite mobs will come down the webway you entered from during the fight, they are timed so you want to drop them fast - they cast wide spread poison bolts which can be interrupted or silenced - but do fair bit of damage if they land.
After the two elite groups are killed he will come out of the ground and resume the first phase, and than pop back under occasionally. Drop him as a fast as possible, not because of any real timer.. But just because long stretches of not being able to attack him are terribly boring.

got today wiped 6 times at the first group
the grp on the left are harder than any grp i ever seen in any hc instance before
the mob named Skirmisher if he charge at one of the clothes wearer forget about him and dont look behind just let him face his fate

as a prot warrior with 27k hp half epic geard dont go to waste ur time

Just ran this two days ago with 2 wipes, to me this is ALOT EASIER than hall of stone(santization part...lol %^&*) or HoL(loken gave me 20+wipe in a single run, + a pally healer friend of mine got her confidence ruined).
Group set up: Me(pally tank 24k hp, 24.5k armor, 546ish def)
Pally healer
Lock(spec unknown)
DK(i guess blood)
Hunter(BM ofc)
and later on hunter replaced by a Warrior(fury)
1St boss, no wipe, ezmode. pull the left group first, burn down the skirmisher(7sec HoJ stun and hes gg), have the dk pulled ranged mob into my aoe, then center group/right group had no skirmishers, so tank/spank them and the boss.(some1 died here, couldn't remember who but was a dps)
2nd boss, wiped once for the event here,healer got a lag spike, the boss wasn't hard. We burned down the mobs surrounding him and i spam cleanse on me and the DK, i gave him a EZ rating for my group set up.
Last boss: wiped once, the DK 1 shotted by pound, i was taking too much dmg from pound too(first run through, anub'rack was soo fuking big that he still pounds me when i thought i walked to his back), the dps was lacking and healer oom cuz dk died early and me not able to dodge pound.
Hunter left at this pt for guild Naxx run, we got a fury warrior.
2nd try, dk didn't get pounded, fury warrior died(dunno know, you can guess) before 4thburrow of boss, i still get pounded occasionally...(sigh...still gotta learn) however we burned him down good, pally healer was great as the mobs were running loose all the time, cleansing poisen is a pain but must do as they stacks(like 5+stack if you dont cleanse), burned down the boss afterward and a good run.

Our group died about 2 times on the 2nd group of mobs.
Even with 100% aggro on me. Some of the mobs rather take on the clothies.
Try to stun/freeze them when u see them walking towards the group.

Does anyone know the min lvl req. to get in Azjol nerub? seeings how UK and nexus were marked wrong is this one too? im guessing around lvl 70 but it says 72. thanks

the most funny thing to do when bored on this instance is when you go to the chamber of anubarak there is a hole where u have to jump, then somebody jumps use water walking its very funny!

Just completed this on heroic. We did it fairly well, but I have to say this is my least favorite heroic. I won't be doing this one again unless it's the daily. I normally never get lag in dungeons, maybe its the hundreds of insects in this place, but I get major lag here. It's not a very spacious place, and there's only 3 badges to be had (compared to say, Nexus, where you got 5 badges).
If it has any pros, it's that there are hardly any trash. It seemed to be Boss, boss, then boss again, to me. Not the hardest place, but very annoying, IMO.

I did not read the lengthy posts here, but let me just say a resto shammy who is adept at rotating in
Poison Cleansing
(uses
water totem
slot)and and a
Nature Resist Totem
(uses
air totem
slot) makes this place VERY EASY. You can ignore poisons and cleanse diseases without too much of a rush.
Not saying it's essential or anything, but it makes it easy, or even easier if it's arleady easy for all you "i'm-so-leet-anything-easy" people.
When these totems are not in use,
Healing Stream Totem
makes life so easy and any air totem (depends on your party composition).
You don't need
Mana Spring Totem
. Trust me, cleansing poisons and resisting nature makes
Earth Shield
(mine is fully talented up to max it out with
Improved Earth Shield
,
Purification
and
Improved Shields
, I only ever need to
Riptide
the tank occasionally and since my mana is full just toss out the occasional
Chain Heal
to top up the raid (doesn't matter if it's not on the
Riptided
or if you have
Improved Chain Heal
because your
Healing Stream Totem
would've already have them so healthy the weakest
Chain Heal
would top everyone off.
Conclusion: Just get a pocket resto shammy for things like this so you can run it in 30 minutes easily without wipes or headaches.
Side note: You can apply the same tactic in

. Nobody needs to run. Just
Riptide
the tank before the blast and spam
Chain Heals
. You will survive if you're in the right level of gear and have sufficient stam to survive the initial blasts.

helps EZ-mode this even further but is by no means a necessity.
Not bragging. Any resto shammy can do this. Try it. And love it.

This is probably the shortest WotLK instance in the game. It takes a total of about 30 minutes to clear, if not less, and the major damage there is nature. Unfortunately, mages cannot use
Polymorph
as the enemies are undead.
The first two fights in this instance are chain fights, in which you must kill 3 groups of enemies and then a boss without stop, so it is important that your players do not die on the mob fights, or waste their CDs

Rumor is they charge the target farthest away and maintain focus for 10 seconds. So as everyone thinks it's safe to have your heals far away, think again. a strategy I will try tonight is to place a
DK in the back as bait. ((Skirmishers 1 hit Priest/Druid/Shamans))
Personally if the strategy of placing an armor wearer in the back doesn't work I quit at this place, I have 4000g so the repairs don't bother me but
this place is just THAT annoying

Just finished first heroic run, 1 wipe on Anub'arak but other than that nowhere near as hard as people have claimed to be. As a rogue the only fight needing a little bit of brain is the last, watch stomp and take out non-elite adds. Fan of knives the scarabs and 2 shot the spiders and your laughing.

Just did this on Heroic for the first time yesterday with a DK tank, Hunter, Lock, Shaman, and me a Holy Priest. The DK, Shaman, and I had very little gear from Naxx 10 while the hunter and lock were starting heroics. Tank is defense capped, shammy was at 1.8k dps while the hunter and lock were at 1.4k, and me having 1.7k sp and ~280 mp5 while casting.
We had no problems at the first boss but the second boss we had the fight bug on us 3 times. The first time only the first elite spawned, the other 2 never spawned so we had to run out and reset it. The second time the elites spawned like normal except once we killed them Hadronox just stayed in the tunnel fighting. We waited for quite sometime and the boss never moved so we reset again. The third time it bugged the fight was...interesting, we pulled the first elite and the next 2 elites spawned...on top of us! No one was expecting it so my large healing aggro killed me instantly, lucky for us I was soulstoned so I rezzed and we were able to take out the elites and the boss with only 1 of the dps dieing.
The last boss fight we wiped many times. The first time dps tried to take the pound to get in a little more dps, so we died. The second time everyone was getting hit by the spikes, we would move out of the way of them long before they came up and yet still get hit by them, we died. Third time the adds killed me on their first spawn, we died. We finally were able to down the boss on the forth try.
Overall this is a hard heroic but if everyone can play their class well and have already done some heroics maybe 1 or 2 people with some Naxx gear you should be able to run this. We also didnt CC anything and we didnt cure the poisons either, which would have made it easier but where is the fun in that :P

A difficult run, I suggest bringing primarily 73-75 in levels, I was 70 when I first ran as an affliction warlock with relatively low hit (I'm levellng...) -- I had a huge issue getting my DoTs to land on the majority of the mobs in the instance.
Do NOT take a tank that is 72 or lower. I really, really suggest going for 73+. The tank we brought at 71, then the following at 72, could not hold aggro and missed much more often then the one who was 73 and 74. They were, of course, different classes and specs (dk/pally/warrior/druids) so that may have contributed slightly, but I feel the majority of it was their sheer level and inability to hit.

Having farmed this instance for the past week with my guild tank(Our DK wanted the epic belt), I must say I know this place like the back of my hand. A brilliant run takes 15-20 minutes while a horrible one will take 1 hour replacing DPS that just couldn't put out enough damage.
This place needs 1500+ DPS for it to be doable, anything below that and the healer will run out of mana and then everyone will die. You also need a well geared non crittable tank and a healer that has a quick finger.
Me(Holy Paladin) and my DK tank do this place just fine as long as we have the DPS backing us up. Many times we've had to call the run because the DPS were only doing 600-1100. Anything over 1500 and it goes smoothly as long as you don't make any silly mistakes.
As a Holy Paladin the hardest thing about this place is the poison. Usually you just have to cleanse yourself, the tank and the lowest health DPS and with beacon on the tank to keep him topped up, rotate heal the DPS through the poison damage.
The Skirmishers have never really been a problem, I find being Webwrapped and having the other DPS not notice this worse.
I find that Hardronoxx can bug, causing her to not web the doors. To prevent this when you kill the first crusher pack, wait for her to move up the ramp abit and then pull the next group. Wait again just for a moment and then as she pops her head through the opening, pull the last crusher group.
I find Anub'arak to be quite random with kill times, with times ranging from 1minute 40 to 5 minutes. As long as the DPS stay out of the pound it's pretty light healing throughout the fight and I'm able to pop Divine Plea whenever it comes off cooldown. Same cleanse tactics used as above with the poisons. I find it's easier to make everyone bunch up at the entrance and use AoE so that no adds are left beating on the healer at a distance.
Overall I find it to be an enjoyable instance as long as you have the DPS for it along with 3 easy badges, but it can quickly turn hairy, if you don't. The first boss is a very good DPS check.

Not so sure what everyone is talking about when they say this is a hard heroic instance. I've ran this 8 times and counting waiting for the tank trinket and the tank belt to drop, and always have completed it fairly easily, minus the time a DK used Army of the Dead and got the final boss to pound the heals
/doh!
I have found heroic utgarde pinnacle to be the most challenging, mainly Skadi, because many people are unaware and get run over from poor positioning.

Non-Heroic AN is soloable as a well geared blood DK. Stayed in blood presence with DPS gear on.
Only really hard part is the watchers at the front gate. They caught me unawares the first couple of times and I met my untimely demise. Basically, you need to DPS the bejeezus out of the watchers. Ignore the other mobs and go for the watchers first. If they live too long, you get web wrapped and then you're dead. I don't know if you can PvP trinket out of it, didn't have it on at the time.
My strat was to use runic weapon on the first one, hysteria on the 2nd, and army of the dead+empower rune weapon on the third. Seemed to work ok.
1st boss requires some blood boiling on the scarabs but wasn't too hard.
Hadrinoxx hit like a girl as long as you dont stand in poison clouds. I couldn't seem to eat during this event so to heal up I'd wait for the single non-elite mobs that would come walking up, drop a disease or two on em and deathstrike for HP.
Anub'arak was surprisingly easy. Avoid pounds, mind freeze the venomancers poison spit, and blood boil the little scarabs the boss spawns.
Aside from saying you did it, there's no reason to solo this. NOTHING drops loot except the bosses...

If you want to run H AN, try it when it's not your server's prime instance time. For some reason, groups have a harder time getting into H AN then anywhere. You can go to the AN portal and see ~3 groups waiting to get in,while you can go to any other instance and see much less. Maybe people are just running AN a lot so it seems like more are there, you know, being the shortest instance and all.
I swear, if they don't fix this "Additional Instances can not be Launched" crap, i'm quitting for Aion. Cataclysm is shaping up to be a suicide for wow anyway, might as well name it World of Casualcraft, taking away all those stats and what-not... I expect this to be the average peice of gear.

maybe, maybe not. Anubarak is most likely the leader of the scourged nerubians. it would make sense for him to be down inside AN helping create the new nerubians for Arthas. also, it seems as though he is not completely controlled by Arthas.

so putting him in a lesser place where he wont be able to cause as much harm is better than sticking him in a higher role in Naxx.
another thing is that there are nerubians who were not turned into scourge. and as you can see in the pit of Narjun outside of the instances are nerubians who are eager to kill him. if Anub'arak was in naxx then the nerubians would be no doubt attacking and or sabotaging naxx.

tried it a while ago with crappy group=Fail..on first boss we succeded but the second one made our group fall apart-important thing imo is that the casters eat in ''between fights'' and that will win the day

I was in a group at the second boss and was told to dismiss my passive pet and "do the feign death trick". First of all, what's the feign death trick here? And why do so many people have an issue with a passive pet?
