Sarge’s Easy Mac and Cheese
Origins in Hearthstone/WoW
Sarge is a white mouse frequently seen in Hearthstone artwork, as he's the pet of Innkeeper Harth Stonebrew.
“Now, those of you who don’t know better might think a mouse has no place behind the bar. But let me tell you, there’s no better assistant that Sarge when it comes to testing recipes. This one is his own creation, and its become one of our most popular dishes!”
Ingredients
One 16 oz package rotini pasta
¼ Cup salted butter, plus more for the baking dish
1 or 2 cloves garlic minced
¼ Cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground mustard
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper
¾ Cup Amber beer
2 Cups Milk
2 Cups shredded mozzarella cheese
3 Cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 Cup diced thick cut pepperoni
2 Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400F
In a large pot of boiling water, cook the pasta until it is al dente according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.
While the pasta cooks, butter a large baking dish and set that aside as well.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for a minute or so, until it is tender and fragrant.
Add the flour, mustard, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine. Slowly whisk in the beer followed by the milk. Cook for another few minutes until the whole mixture has thickened somewhat.
Stir in the mozzarella and 2 cups of the cheddar cheese until melted. Remove from the heat.
Add the cooked pasta and pepperoni to the sauce, stirring to completely coat. Scoop everything into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheeses.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and bubbly, then allow to cool for another 5 minutes before serving.
Tips:
Play with the recipe a bit and try other cheeses like gouda or Gruyere.
If you don’t have dry mustard, regular mustard can be used 1:1
If you don’t have amber beer, a wheat beer can work.
Try putting 1 cup of bread crumbs on top

“Here’s a delightful, morning-friendly drink to accommodate early risers. It’s a bit like eggnog, but lighter. The recipe came from Thunder Bluff, but whatever you do, don’t ask where the milk comes from – The Bloodhoof tribe will take it as a great insult.”
This drink is not found in WoW, but there are several Tauren-themed drinks--

Ingredients
2 Ounces whole milk
1 ½ ounces brandy or rum
1 ounce Brown Sugar Simple Syrup (See below)
Ice
1 ½ ounce Heavy Cream
½ ounce Irish Creme Liqueur
Cinnamon sugar and ground nutmeg for garnishing
Directions
Dip a rocks glass rim into a little brandy, followed by some cinnamon sugar to create a more fanciful presentation.
Add a few ice cubes to the glass.
Combine the milk, brandy or rum, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with a little ice.
Shake a few times to mix, then strain into the prepared glass. Discard the ice from the shaker.
Pour the heavy cream and Irish cream liqueur into the shaker and shake for about 30 seconds, until the cream has fluffed up a little.
Top the cocktail with the cream mixture and sprinkle a little nutmeg on top.
Tips:
Nothing it’s a really good recipe the way it is.
Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
Ingredients
1 Cup Sugar
¼ Cup water
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over high heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Bring to a boil, stir constantly for about 3 minutes, and reduce the heat to low. Keep stirring until all the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
