Definitely some interesting implications with these improvements to the engine. I would hope that it results in new features and options in custom game modes where lobby leader could set some weather effects from drop downs, etc. Neat stuff, appreciate the update
Blizzard announcing some technological innovation, meanwhile... UE4 and UE5, says meh...
I wish WoW updated all old zones and current to have weather effects, old snow zones and current deserve blizzard like the arthi blizzard BG, and other weather effects updated to all zones ect, maybe some hurricanes with tornados that toss ppl to old zones notorious for storms?
That’s cool and all but having more ambient environments on maps from a 5 year old game still feels off when in the context of a standalone sequel, and not a patch.
That is pretty cool.
OW2 is gonna be the sh*t!
Very cool! Dynamic map weather is one the best features a PvP game can add (since you are going to see the same maps a lot of times, any variety is life-saving). I hope a similar system can be better implemented into WoW's Battlegrounds, because, even though we already have some different weather effects, they are rare and almost weightless.
the 5v5 change killed all hype for me.
Must.. add .. to .. WoW
That'd be cool if they didnt take a fat dump on the game by making it 5v5. I quit the second they announced it and ive never missed an event in game.
