I have this awful feeling they're going to try and turn Sylvanas to be this double-agent for the Jailor, that when she killed herself in Edge of Night, she saw that the Maw was swallowing souls and made a partnership with the Jailor to be resurrected. Now she's been spending these years gaining power for herself and climbing the ranks so she could eventually lead us into the Shadowlands where we could kill the Jailor for her and fix death.I really hope I'm wrong, I just want her head on a spike.
Kinda interested to see how it will go. Really hyped for the expansion and its story.
Aand alliance totally ignored for that LK quest. I've never even heard of it until now.And they say they won't merge the factions.. indie company, I swear.
Very excited, cold not be more excited lolAs the previous poster said, seeing her head on a spike ... yes
I miss Metzen's storytelling...
I've loved the story and writing for years. I don't go for these gut-check reactions, because in story you need to suspend your disbelief.People will scream, "No way a zombie can deflect Saurfang's blows! No way she beat Bolvar" etc etc.Me? I watched/read as things happened and didn't experience denial. The question was 'how' did she do this thing that she clearly did? The unimaginative are quick to go, "Bad/lazy writing" but they're allowed to have that opinion.Blizz works out the lore for expansion some 4 years in advance sometimes. Right now they already have Shadowlands, working on 10.0 ,and they're throwing around expansion ideas for 11.0.Some people also don't know how writing works. Or retcons or character development. Leslie Knope once believed chocolate milk came from brown cows. That's what she believed. Then she got new information, found out chocolate syrup is added. She flipflopped/retconned her beliefs. Same with the earth being flat. It was what we were taught, it was in our history. Then we got new information, turns out we were wrong.Blizzard said Chronicle, as every wow book out there, is written from a perspective. It's the Titan's understanding of how things are/were. There are people and places outside of it. They said, for example, the Black Empire lasted years and years, but only got a few pages. Does that mean nothing interesting happened there? Far from it.Sylvanas is soulbound to the Jailer. As the Maw grows, both of them grow. She had Helya assist in directly feeding the Maw, making sure that every soul skipped the Arbitor, strengthening Syl and Jailer both.Does this still derive from Sylvanas's initial fear of the Maw? Perhaps 'freedom' is her overpowering the Jailor, then destroying the Maw as she did the Lich King's crown. Freeing Azeroth and all universes from the fear of death, where she will rule eternally as queen of the damned.
Great read. I've been hesitant to where they were taking the story of Sylvannas but my nerves has been eased
Love it Sylvanas plans! :)
Im so hyped for new expansion and new story.
Mueh'zala
Mhm, wondering what Blizzard is going to do with Sylvanas. I am VERY curious how her story will turn out...
Sounds pretty cool, wonder if she'll manage to survive yet another expansion though.
I hope we don't find out who the jailor is until 9.2.5 at least
Dun dun duuuun...
epic content! anxiously awaiting more great story
Oo hope the jailor is really impressive and we discover who he's really are at the end !
