50% of healer speccs are S tierstrange ranking system.
When I read that Mistweaver brings solid damage I can't help but laugh.Every other healer spec does a lot more damage if the player isn't intentionally never using any of its damage abilities which is really not particularly hard to do.Yes Mistweavers are under-represented but it's for a good reason, they are just worse than every other healer spec across the board. And they are decent only in raids, Mistweavers are really far behind in every other content. Also saying that our throughput is very close is just purely wrong. Just look at world logs, Mistweavers are quite far behind relatively speaking to the first three, and it has nothing to do with under representation, quite the opposite actually.
It’s not a ranking system like "this spec is first, this spec is second, etc." Its more of an evaluation. As in, "this spec does well to this degree, but these other specs have specific limitations."
This is a Mythic Castle Nathria tier list, not a Mythic + tier list. Like paladins, they do bring solid damage because a lot of their healing comes from doing damage. Also I don't know if you have looked at MW healing for Mythic Castle Nathria than I would take a second look because Mistweaver Monks are not far behind other healers when you look at overall healing.
Sorry but how is Mistweaver A Tier for Mythic progress?Their toolkit lack on so much raid utility compared to other healers and their throughput cant change that as there is even better throughput healers. (resto druid as example)On another note to that, who is Anomoly? i couldnt find any background info on that person providing us professional feedback :oThe most accurate search result i get is a 1/10 HC Raider so i assume thats not it :D
Just in time, why don't you make a tier list for Ny'alotha while you're at it
Strange way to say Mistweaver is the worst healer, but okay.
Discipline Priest rating: SS: You are valuable on every encounter in Mythic Castle Nathria, bringing strong throughput, exceptional survivability and universal utility.Apparently disc is valuable on Sunking boys! Lets spam those shields on Kel'Thas to heal him :^)
I'm still hoping they do Fistweaving some justice and give them some love (either give them some damage or nerf hpal).
Reading at the Rank descriptions, I wonder why MW wasn't put in the B tier. It reads (and I quote) "B: You are a solid choice in Mythic Castle Nathria. You may have a niche on some encounters but lack throughput, survivability and/or utility.", when it's clear its utility is lacking, hence fitting in the latter. Even Anomoly, who goes to the argument of "its weakness is not being popular", mentions how:- Its debuff can be provided by having any other monk in the raid.- Its raid cooldowns and externals are underwhelming at best.- Its damage is its utility (even though it's the weakest of the damage healers, and probably any other healer that tries to do damage can out damage the monk). It's very clear that Monk lacks utility compared to the other healing specs, it's just a fact. Then, MW should be placed in B tier (note that B tier would be appropriate even if MW had superior throughput, which it doesn't).
I have two healer friends I pug with; a discipline priest and mistweaver monk who heal in the same guild (halfway through mythic nathria, 15-18 keys) and they have said numerous times of all the roles, they feel healers are the most balanced this expac. This seems to back up that opinion.
I enjoy monks and I very much like monk gameplay, however I not play one. One time I was in the Shadowland fighting many demon and ghost like figure men, when my hp was very low. I was dead in my minds eye, but I hear the sound of rushing jade wind burst past my eardrum and my hp is now full. I look to my left, nobody. I look to my right, nobody. I look above me, there like an angel kiss from heaven god a monk floating on a cloud healing me to ultimate hp. I forever love my Monk friends after this moment. S TIER!
