lol knew it
Who didnt see this one coming :P
not surprising this would be hotfixed asap
Important spells like auto shot
Because of (mostly) PvP, they do this. Understandable, to a point, but then they should fix their own game, like in some instances we get so tight rooms that a chandelier in the ceiling (still showing no matter where you turn your camera) will break the placement (with @cursor) of those spells. How many times your hunter placed Wild Spirits/Resonating Arrow on the ceiling (or something attached to it) or your Blood/Unholy DK placed DnD there too?I miss things like what they did with MoP trees, like those big ones in the western maps, when you fly past the leaves, instead of the camera showing the leaf between the character and the camera, it puts the camera in front of the leaves instead, so you see YOUR character clearly. This should be the default on instances, where on those more recent you see too many tree stuff getting into your view. Who remembers the last Spire of Ascension fight, where if the person with the spear, get's the Archon model getting in the way if you had your camera zoomed to max, trying to aim at Devos?
Intention, success. @target macro would be great, honestly disabled in pvp makes sense but in PVE I see no real harm. If they got to watch what spells can be abused and disable its interaction with those, that's one thing. It would be a huge QOL change for certain aspects of content.
This should not be exploit, this should be feature... disable it for pvp i dont care but i have enough of casting Cataclysm and Rain of fire on ceiling...
I am shocked and amazed by this development.SHOCKED and AMAZED I say! Who could have guessed that an article posted on Wowhead about a "new functionality" would turn out to be an unintended bug that Blizzard would fix fairly expeditiously? Who would have ever guessed that this could happen?
I mean it was addressing a fundamental flaw with the game. If someone can give me a SINGLE reason why I allowed to put an AoE ability on the ceiling in a place like the room with the 3rd boss of HoA I am all ears, but when I drop something like Resonating Arrow up there my dps plummets for "no reason".Disable it in PvP if people care about freezing traps or what have you, but things like this should be a baseline feature especially if blizzard is going to constantly shove us in enclosed spaces where you can put things on the ceiling.
Ground targeted spells are a huge annoyance and should be an incredibly rare type of spell with an effectiveness (and cooldown) that reflects how much of a pain in the ass they are. Blizzard doesn't seem to understand that they are at the best of times a god damn hassle.
This is a real blow to anyone that has a disability such as myself that may need to use such a macro for reticulae targeting. I saw this as a nice accessibility feature and now it's gone. As someone that has to click their abilities while using a controller to move (due to a deformed right arm and less motor control on that side) this would have provided me a way to create macros for specific fights that let me target properly without major delays between input and firing off the ability or spell.I hope the devs reconsider this decision. They could limit it in PvP by not allowing it on player targets, but for PvE it is a great tool for those with accessibility needs like myself.
They should just make it a feature for PVE, especially now that with season 4 stuff like Grimrail Depot make a comeback. I can remember quite a few times where my DnD as Dk just went weirdly on the ceiling
Well, but it's not a revert to the previous behavior, as the following macro (that I had since Cata) broke for me:/cast Heroic Leap; Chargeeven when I add @none to the mod:alt, it tries to cast the Heroic Leap at my position... had to set the Self Cast key to none, not like I need this on a Warrior, but still not great...
fun detected had to fix that then fix hunters bug problem
Color me surprise, everyone knew this was coming that's why i'm sure most of just didn't even bother to remake macros for it.
Fun detected, exterminate!Meanwhile hunter auto pull bug is still not fixed while it should be much higher priority for Blizzard...
