Well I dont know about the very first meme, but happy birthday nonetheless
A recent appearence of this meme in Family Guy made me laugh a lot :)
"At least I have chicken".
There was also a reference on an obscure show named "Moonlight", where one of the vampires (who was a nerdy/gaming type) screamed it before running out into the street to stop a car. A prison van that was going to take one of their kin away.

WoW. It's things like this that make me never want to leave WoW. I hope the flame never dies out
Still brings a smile to my face! :)
Let's do this!
https://youtu.be/vu0W5SdNuisSkip to 35 seconds for the point if the video and how to respond to anyone who attempts this meme for real.
Mankrik's Wife and Thunderfury both likely predate it, and that is just the major ones repeated to this day.
It also makes a regular appearance on the afternoon radio show The Men's Room, on 99.9 KISW Seattle; and since they are now syndicated, can be heard quite a few other places. Always amuses me when callers ask "can I get a Leroy Jenkins?" and the play the infamous sound byte. I wonder if any of them know where it comes from. ;-)

I'll never understand the need for some people to point out if things are real or not. If its not doing any harm, who cares?
