Worst Seasional Affix, glad that its gone.
terrible affix. glad to see it gone. should have been clear asap and then get the DMG buff, not wait it out to min max!
Awesome analysis, love seeing this kind of work on these large, public datasets and revealing a lot about player-system interactions!
Do you have data to make a graph of deaths per stun per spec? I'd be interested to see how well each spec was able to use defensives/bubbles/etc to save themselves.
better players utilize the affix better. What a surprise. Glad its gone
So with an average damage bonus to the group of 2%, the extra 5% on enemy HP was a stupid idea, especially since it was also multiplicative with the key level HP%. Not surprising, I mean the whole affix is a stupid idea but here we are
Beautiful data set, id love to see something similar for all affixes
At least blizzard is happy with thundering. Almost everybody else seems to hate it lol.
"Good affix", we hope it doesn't happen again...
It fitted quite well to DF S1. Why stop at just overtunning everything and putting subpar old dungeons in the opener season of the expansion? Lets crucify this game mode properly and break the season affix too. (probably some blizzard employee said...) Thundering has successfully shown us with enough malice, laziness and greediness even the best kind of affixes can be transformed into necrotic-like ultrafun affixes. Never underestimate blizzard's creativeness when it comes to siphoning fun out of the content so they can pretend its more of a cOmPeTiTiVe eSpOrT now and they even succeeded to cut their responsibilities here too.Looking forward to empty, even more so zero effort seasons that really have nothing apart from dungeons which many of us already did quite enough times...
I'd love to see data on all the bailouts. I was in a group that got annihilated by AV boss 1 repeatedly because thundering came at the same time we're supposed to spread out and we never did manage a proper way of handling that. All they have data on are the good groups with good damage able to get through in time. Would be interesting to see what the affix distribution is on all the bailouts or failed times.
I always tried to hold it to the very end, but everyone always wants to just clear asap and not deal with it. Like, I get that you don't want to deal with the stun, but at least take the good from the bad. Either way, good riddance to this and any future prospects of seasonal affixes. Good risk/reward in theory, horrendous implementation.
