They forgot to mention the addition of the new affixes on Shadowlands, specifically designed to punish melee.This addition was a massive blow, considering rDPS were reigning supreme on raids for a lot of time and there have been 0 intentions of trying to change that from Blizzard. Kicking melee from the only piece of content in which they were above rDPS (even though they dealt with a lot more mechanics, and it is harder to play a melee effectively in keys than it is to play a rDPS) was completely unnecessary. I honestly believe at this point that Blizzard just hates melee.
AOE cap and all new affixes is absolutely unfriendly (unplayable) for melee specs. Blizzard Inability unbalanced H vz A. Now he trying unbalance melee vz ranged in all game aspect.
I don't find melee to be an issue in relation to Mythic+ affixes so much as bosses. I've run double melee on every dungeon, triple on a few, and quadruple in two.Sanguine Depths was handcrafted to $%^& melee over in the greatest way imaginable compared to any other dungeon, but you see such a titanic amount of boss mechanics that hate melee. Storming? Spiteful? Quaking? These really aren't bad to do even in a triple melee group because there's just so much leeway to handling them and knowing in advance. But the second boss of Sanguine Depths, or the second boss of Spires of Ascension?Then top all of this with the Drums nerf, and remember that every group needs Bloodlust and *should* have at least one battle res.

The article says clearly that only ranged are dps (meta) melee dps article as entire melee doesnt exist only ranged dps meta is important dont bother creating the melee article waste your time...
i think what a lot of people dont understand is that the "meta" only really comes into play when people are pushing keys as high as they can, for fun and competition, because you don't get any extra rewards for pushing higher than a 15. after getting keystone master as feral druid, and timing 15s with 3 melee, i believe that any class and comp can time 15s as long as everyone knows how to play their class in m+ and has decent gear and coordination.i agree that storming and spiteful suck though.

The saddest view in this game is slime pull before 1st boss in Plaguefall1. Fire mage - 30k dps2. Elemental shaman - 25k dps3. Outlaw rogue - 8k dps** - didn't mention tank, in fact outlaw should be 4th
