If you want merc mode go play retail.
Seriously wtf did I just read? So, you want all the pros of being horde, without downsides. You don't get to have the cake and also eat it. Want "PvP Advantage", deal with the queues. Want insta queues, roll Alliance.Basically EVERYONE knew at this point this was going to happen. People still choose stronger racials, now deal with it.Want Merc mode? Retail is over there ------>
I don't get how you guys can think "just reroll alliance" makes sense at all.If you were in the same position as the horde, if the faction imbalance were the other way around, could you simply swap over just for the sake of being able to play bgs in a bearable manner?Certainly there are a few solo-players here and there which would swap factions, but the majority of players have found home and friends through their journey in classic, which they wouldn't wanna give up for that. They'd rather quit playing pvp.
For all those who just say "reroll alliance " https://gyazo.com/da88c300a2545ce4a35435f092ae603c sure tell blizzard to allow that to happen
Blizzard shouldnt punish Alliance players (by impacting queue times with merc mode or other solutions) for a problem Horde players caused. Offer free faction transfers for Horde players to Alliance on Horde-dominated servers - anybody who truly cares about the queue times will swap, and anybody who doesn't is totally blowing smoke and riding the negativity train.
What about people who traded OP PvP racials for shorter queue times?
@RokmanI obviously appreciate your opinion on the matter with how involved and how much of an advocate you've been for the pvp community in classic over the last 2 years. But I do have some disagreement with you here.We all know TBC has inherently imbalanced racials. As many commenters have pointed out, if queues were identical, there would be no reason for any of us to be alliance at all - at least if Alliance has quicker queues and maybe slightly easier access to honor gear - that can help to balance the faction imbalance caused by racials like will of the forsaken. You even mention that the horde racials are better, but then your solution is just to give horde access to instant queues as well? The real problem with pvp in the game at the moment is items that shouldn't be in the game yet... are. In original TBC the honor gains at this rate made sense because people weren't running around with deep thunders so early on. With deep thunder and other strong "pve" weapons being so prevalent now compared to original TBC, the low honor gains don't make sense.Especially EOTS after their "fix" is a mess and really should just be changed to award honor in a similar way to AB. Anyways, cheers for the write-up Rokman. Whatever their solution, I hope Blizzard does at least address the problem in some way-Cliff
They can have shorter queues... if Blizzard buff Alliance racials :)If they give Horde shorter queues but don't buff my racials, I quit.
Easy solution - Nerf Will of the Forsaken and buff Escape ArtistHorde crying because they "optimized" their characters and are now suffering because "everyone's doing it". This imbalance makes things fair for everyone because racials and (some see AV) battlegrounds are easily in favor of the horde. Alliance will get the better gear sooner than the Horde to balance out the imbalanced racial abilities. Checks and balances.
Remove seal of blood from Aliance.
Long queues is a problem created by players. It's like creating a character in a "full" server and then complain about the login queues (not anymore tho because layers) or playing in a PvP server and then complaining for getting killed in open world PvP contesting a mining node. Most people know what they are facing the moment they start playing, everything has pros and cons and one accepts them the very moment they make a decision.I play alliance as a prot warrior and overall bad at PvP, transfered for TBC to Earthfury (high pop, PvP, 70% horde), I get ganked and camped every now and then, more often than I would like to, I knew before hand what I was going to face, can't complain. One thing not too disruptive that Blizz could make to lessen the open world PvP griefing is to prevent honor gains while in a BG/Arena queue, so players don't go open world killing others while waiting for the queues. All in all, this is a player generated problem, I remember phase 2, game was literally unplayable for alliance and I wasn't even 60 yet by that time, the whole world PvP situation was so bad that a lot of alliance players quit the game (half of the guild I was left the game), making the already present imbalance even more imbalanced, players were warned, even tho the killing continued.People like to blame Blizzard, they just establish rules and mechanics, sometimes flawed, but players are the ones that exploit them, then cry to Blizzard to fix them.
Pretty apparent that most of the people commenting here are boosted or didn't play Classic. "Reroll bro" is a #$%^ty solution for people that have been playing for 2 years and didn't choose their faction for reasons other than liking the faction. Quit treating video game teams like it's some serious ideology and being weird. Everyone should be able to play the game, simple.

I mean they don't want changes but still want to play pvp and force developers to change bg? Really? Also same boat with dungeons need a tank 24/7, now you can finally understand the '' you think you do but you dont''Just play the way it is you choose classic now deal with it if you don't like it that's your problem not theirs
