The blizzard as we knew it is nevermore, and I think the last couple expansions reflect that. Sad.
He worked on Garrisons and Legion legendaries. Can't say I'm upset he left.
Now WoW won't Walk the Line.
well, to put things into context, there are hundreds of devs. the most vocal are the ones on Twitter. the narcissistic ones.
I did like artifacts
You know a company is in trouble when the good people start to leave of their own accord. (In before the nay-sayers: developers get told what to work on by the lead designers; just because he developed garrisons does not mean he was responsible for the concept. Not every idea will pan out when exposed to the real world and some of us still love our garrisons as a place to retreat to).Looking further, there's been a lot of criticism and negativity. It's time for Blizzard to take a step back and consider what is fundamentally wrong (not just what a few voices are vocal about) and come up with a design architecture that will address those issues; or call it a day. Remember that "disruption, conflict, and chaos are inevitable in the life of a social system, these disruptions represent opportunities for innovation and creativity".Perhaps starting with a short survey asking for 3 words that would describe the ideal next expansion so that people have to think about what is core for them? Build them into a word cloud to see what stands out. For me: fresh, broad-brush, community.
