"Altogether, the changes are pretty neat for affliction - when your spec is relatively strong in raids in the grand scheme of things, it's nice to see no major nerfs and actually get some options in legendaries."Ah yes, affliction, the relatively strong spec. It's just alright I guess, nothing to see here. The writer is also purposefully ignoring the bugfix that is a net dps gain for the spec (which is prob already one of the top 3 specs in the game), it certainly needed buffs! The malefic rapture nerf 100% should have remained, ridiculous that affliction is meant to beat fire mages in burst. Delusional and biased aff TC writers will never admit it's broken though.
I'm tired of those office politics.Gonna abandon my MM hunter and rerolling to a fire mage.I think it's not too late.
I was hoping the hunter writer would talk about Qapla, because I honestly (as a noob hunter) thought it would be the better option.Regardless, happy that for stubborn BM hunters like me, soulforged embers aren't the sole competitive option any more. Sure it won't still beat MM, but it still is very awkward to play around the trap and flare.
No balance opinions D: Really wanted to read about it since im trying to decide if i should reroll
Thank the gods I never crafted SFE on my BM Hunter. I went with Rylak's, so it's good to see it now definitively come to the fore.In fact the SFE recipe is still sitting in her bags 😂Pity I'll not get much use out of either now, as I've had to switch back to tanking for my guild, but I guess I'll get some play time to see how it works out on farm nights.
Wait, what? There is really a buff for fire Mages? 😂😂
was the spitting cobra buff just a blizzard level meme, or april fools joke too soon?tbf the balance fixes so far bring nothing to the game, only maybe angry mm hunters rerolling fire magesthe guy who thought sfe is cool thing for hunters should get his ass kicked
Fire mages can burst over 100k at m+? Ok, let's nerf mm hunters
that is rediculus blizz continue to buff mages boomys and mm when they are one of the 3-4 top classes on mythic+ and they continue with that stupid aoe cap to destroy melee classes......
Hey guys! Ellipsis here. Just wanted to add to this, as it was written before yesterday's PTR build was added, that night fae going back to 20 seconds of cooldown reduction will have some impact on the value of Shadowflame Prism. 70 second Voidform and 60 second Mindbender don't quite line up, but you'll probably still float the Voidform cooldown a little to try to pair them up (Same as with PI) in certain fight lengths. It just won't be a consistent thing.Shadowflame Prism is still going to be very strong, and as much as Shadow didn't explicitly need a buff to Night Fae, I was looking forward to having my Voidform properly line up with other cooldowns.
Always nice to see Arcane get some irrelevant buffs. Blizzard must really hate that spec
While I'm probably the only hunter who didn't mind SFE, looks like it's back to farming more soul ash. I thought I could give Torghast a break for a few weeks.
ELEMENTAL SHAMAN:Here is the issue with the Elemental Shaman change. The AoE buffs were MUCH needed and appreciated. However the tune to the single target damage is disappointing. Currently the only valid bottom tier talent is Stormkeeper, and has been for most expansions. It's honestly boring that it is the only viable last row talent by a long shot. I had hope that Ascendance would make a come back, though seeing as the only ability you cast during it single target received a 10% nerf its even more useless than before. I personally miss the Ascendance meta a lot and hope they swing back and give us an option for something outside of boring ass stormkeeper. I mean the burst on it is fun for PVP, but it's not a very satisfying single target ability.
