the new bears and cats look nice
not a fan of flying pets for hunters
Sort of amused seeing the gourd on my Night Elf Monk's staff sort of floating upside-down with the new pose... XD
Is the new monk idle animation for a sheathed weapon or just standing around after unsheathing the weapon with "z"?
Do you think that Blizz will add idle animations for every type of weapon and not just for monk staves? Sort of like in FFXIV? It would suck if only monks got their idle animation, because it's so cool and I'd like my class to also have one, basically :P
As a hunter, I'm really, really, REALLY excited for any and all new animals - companions, tameable or otherwise. The druid artifact transformations gave me hope for new beasties and I woke up to this? YES!Reading the Gnome/Goblin hunter ability to tame mechanicals and having to acquire the ability on other races also gives me hope that Blizzard are going to fulfill my Beast mastery hunter 'fantasy', that of being a friend of all beasts and a master of the wilds, even if mechanically created beasties aren't exactly "natural" it makes sense in my head that engineers would be able to make mecha strong enough to be an active companion/tank.Now, Blizz, please bring back pet happiness - not as a damage increase buff like it was in vanilla, but just as a cute extra thing to give pets a more 'alive' feel.
Nice cats! Hope they fix that yawn, though....
The cats look like the new saberon. They clip terribly, their shoulders and necks seem to break, they look like someone stretched them out like a piece of taffy, and the poor things break their jaw every time they yawn. I really hope that model gets touched up.
Really happy to see a lot of old models remade. They should do that with EVERY SINGLE old model and not just the re-used ones, as well as update all old textures. That being said, why the hell do only monks get an idle 2H animation? I'm hoping it's the only one datamined so far because it makes no sense for just monks to have this since a LOT of other classes use two-handers. I can understand one-handers not having a specific idle animation, but every 2H user should get this new addition. They should also make it so that off-hands show on your waist/in combat.
Ice Bear approves.
Monk idle animation is only becouse of the brewmaster keg. It would silly to hanging it half underground. Aaand now its awesome, the keg will hang at my back (like chen holding his keg in mop cinematic) :) Im loving it!
The Models look awesome....wish they had the time to go back and refresh the detail on some of the old stuff.
bear goatee
I hope they use the shoulder-lean Staff animation for other 2-handed weapons of other classes too, running around with a sword flailing about looks dumb.
Those hunter pets look amazing. Sad thing that Marksman can't have any :(
Are we getting a larger stable to fit these new pets?
I really hope we do get a mount with those new nightsaber models. They look stunning.
Loving the new hunter pet models! But for some odd reason I can't get over the fact that those nightsabers have really skinny legs... like awkwardly skinny. Anyone else agree?
It doesn't make much sense to me that a Mistwalker monk would be holding their staff on the shoulder like that, since they aren't necessarily going to be using it in combat, as far as lore is concerned. Would be better if they held out straight, with the end of the staff resting on the ground. (Speaking of which - ALL staff animations for every class should be that!) But I guess staff users almost always never unsheathe their staff anyways, so it doesn't matter much.
