Shadowlands Alpha was added to the Battle.net Catalog on February 20, 2020, and went live on April 9, 2020. (From Icy Veins)
I would imagine they would be releasing the alpha soon, given this expansion once again holds a ton of weight given if it flops again, then that's probably going to be all they wrote. So I would imagine their going to want to release the alpha ASAP to get to work on getting the expansion created and polished up.
They are so far behind the regular schedule even with 1 lost tier in Shadowlands
Datamine! Post every single detail so we don't find it later! Post models! Et cetera! Those are things crazy people would probably say or think. Especially the et cetera part because I was too lazy to say more silly things. That being said, can't wait til we can get some early looks at the new models and environments. This has me hopeful that we'll see something in a month or two at the earliest.
idk given they are rushing it again (obviously), this will be such a flop..which is worse, they are remaking every spec's spells so don't even want think what mess will beand on classes they have been ignoring for about n years..so yes i am not looking forward to it either, like given shadowlands shouldn't be over yet :d
Because this is listed as an internal alpha, this would be the Friends and Family Alpha correct?
Blizzard really needs a win with this expansion. Two bad expansions in a row, ruining WC3:R, lawsuits galore, and Diablo Immortal being a critical failure. The convoluted new talent trees are making me wary already. I really hope they can get their stuff together. I don’t think they can survive another flop.
yay signs of progressfeels like the hiring they've been doing since ~9.1.5 after all the drama is finally starting to pay off, although with how bad SL's content pacing was it's a low-set bar that's being beaten. Whether or not you liked SL, the worst experience of it was the content stretched thinly over very grindy systems with very long waits between patches. If we have to wait a bit to get some big zones with lots of quests, lore content, and even negative space for the actual world to feel like a world, I'm okay with that. If get another main storyline treadmill into the 3 endgame pillars, with the RPG experience torn to shreds by feedback from the power gamers, I won't be pleased.
I am very excited to see this! Definitely excited for Dragonflight and to see testers get access so I can see the new content. I know I won't be invited but that's okay. Also looking forward to the preorders to finally open up :)
so at least 3 month before alfa, that left us with Season 4 at least withing the next 3 months AND DF within the predicted timefrme (nov 22-feb 23)
I do hope they dont rush it. But then again its only the internal alpha the first real build and not a complete build
