only thing that will keep me subbed cause shadowlands looking like doo doo atm.
Even if they will add it, it will be done in a way that will further divide the playerbase. Because it will either be separate servers for TBC, with option to transfer classic chars, or having to completely retool current classic servers.
Can't wait for WoD and BfA legacy servers =]
TBC Classic is not the best idea because of the simple question: Where will it end? I loved tbc, wotlk even more. So let's get a WoTLK classic too, and then a cataclysm, MoP untill we end with the shadowlands classicsince shadowlands classic is SOOO much better then Retail Shadowlands...Still, If they want to go true with this idea they should keep classic realms (at least 1 RP, PvP, PvE and RPPvP realm)Otherwise they are just creating WoW2 since people who want the classic experience never get to experience it again.TBC isn't classic, paladins at horde and shamans in the alliance for starter, naxx being removed and increase level capso you can roll over classic raids. It's just not the WoW classic experience if they force TBC on the existing realms. Not saying they shouldn't do this, but rather create different servers for the different expansions so players can choose which "era" theyliked the most instead of just steamrolling true classic raids with lvl 70's since tbc is forced onto the classic realms.
I hope TBC get released pre 2.1 patch to reflect original TBC to keep melee viable with world buffs. I am pretty sure a lot of people would quit if they couldn't play their warrior anymore.
Now Classic AND TBC? If we could copy our Classic characters, then daaaaaaaamn!
I'm still holding out for Classic+, similar to what Old School Runescape does. I mean, where does this end? Wrath? Cataclysm?
I don't want BC. I, like, really don't want BC. It would split the Classic playerbase, and both servers would end up feeling empty.
If they don't come out with BC, a great many of us are going to abandon the Classic servers anyway. For me personally, Classic is fun but it's not worth sticking with for the long term without a stream of new content. (BC or especially Wrath is a different story.)I get that those that prefer Classic are unhappy about the prospect, but those servers are going to have significant player decreases in either scenario.
I'm not a big fan of the whole idea of Classic TBC, I raided it hardcore and went through all the content when it was relevant. The memories are great. I put in the wipes on Archi, Illy, K'T, LV, and freaking Shade when he was actually hard. I did the whole arena thing. I was most happy when Wrath was released as that was actually a very fun expansion. But of the trinity, I enjoyed Vanilla the most and just wanted the official game back. It's all I ever asked Blizz for for about a dozen years. I got my wish. And now we're talking about essentially rebooting the entire franchise with the sequel. The tourists have seen Classic, they want TBC, they want to move on, I get it. It hasn't even been officially announced yet, maybe it will end up like SC: Ghost. I hope they get TBC, but I also don't want progressive servers here. I want to be able to stay in Classic WoW, so I hope that remains an option. I don't like having to play on private servers to get what I want (even though they often times administer the game 10x better than Blizz did in Classic) so I hope I don't have to ever do that again. If I could get one wish in 2021, it would be that our Classic Vanilla servers stay. Reset us if you must. I'll gladly abandon my characters and loot here if it means I get to keep playing the real thing. I never asked for TBC, if I want to play that content I can today - it's nearly untouched in retail. If they release anything I want them to go after the bots and gold selling if they feel like doing something new in their game.
