monk wasn't #1 dps by a lot, good thing you guys buffed them! :)
meta 3 monk dps gg
Quick, jump to conclusions!
Mmm
Paladin dev is all over it guys, these are some of the best changes ever right here. Expect paladin to be top of everything, best dps, best tank, and best healer, by a long shot.
I have a hard time understanding why they buffed one of the overperforming specs in both raid and m+ in DF right now, any WW to explain ? Were those spells undertuned ? Because WW were already good in ST fights, I really don't get it, but since I'm not an expert of the spec maybe there is a valid reason.
thank god wind walker was buffed again. it can't be buffed often enough. They were at the bottom of the charts during raid and M+ testing. literally 0 damage.wait, WTF! Honestly ? you buff a class that's already miles ahead of the rest ? seriously ?
You doomers suck at analyzing anything. This is a Blackout Kick ~10% nerf and a Strike of the Windlord ~33% buff. A buff the ability sorely needed.
glad monks are looking good so far. and all three specs
For the people whining regarding WW buffs, you have to look at them from a historic point of view. WW Monks have been scaling poorly since release. WW doesn’t have anything that double downs on a secondary stat. They factually don’t scale well by current (and former) design. For example: Rogues get double combo points if they crit. So when we start getting to high levels of stats, they benefit from the general growth of stat % with ilvl of gear going up, but even if they aren't prioritizing crit, they still start getting enough of it passively through gear. It's the reason why Fury and Fire is often bad to mediocre at the start of an expansion, and strong at the end. In the case of Fury, they benefit from crits proccing more rage, mastery makes them do more damage during enrage, and haste makes them able to generate rage and keep that enraged uptime up, to almost permanent duration with late expansion stat values. Remember Fury at WoD launch?Fire mages on the other hand, want to reach a specific cap on crit to reliably proc. Early on in the expansion if they want to hit 40% crit, they need to stack the hell out of the crit stat to get to a place that the spec flows properly. However their mastery is really strong too, they just early on don’t have the stat budget to not invest into crit, etc.So in other words, Monks will scale linear with stats (as will everyone else), however they have nothing that double dips or reaches a breakpoint more easily with more gear. If say BoK crits reset RSK, or even your Mastery increased the % chance to proc resets on things, then they would scale better with overall stat boosts. They have nothing like that. The new talents offer nothing either outside of a random free RSK, generating one extra chi from time to time.
lmao imagine buffing the most OP spec on the beta atm the moment, the fotm clowns will be all over this.
Blizzard still buffs WW monk by changing the hidden aura multipliers, instead of fixing WW monk stats scaling, which is the root cause of the problem. They will need to redo this scaling for every season until they fix scaling by primary + secondary stats.
