man, m+ was really not friendly to melee, what a list
yo lets make a list to fix pvp now shall we? start with bringing back demon armour and then nerfing outlaw rogue and then warrior and ret...
Might actually do mythic+ more than one time this week after seeing this. I'll still let my sub run out if they don't buff Ret in PVE soon though. Being mediocre at everything doesn't feel great. And I've pulled rank 1 for ilvl and plenty of 99s while not ignoring mechanics. I max out my spec pretty much, it just sucks being capped like that.
Cool
Honestly, anything that makes melee more fun is something I approve of. Anyone who ever has played both melee and ranged in m+ know just how MUCH more relaxed playing a ranged DPS is. It's a shocking difference, especially if you switch to ranged after playing melee for a long time.
Tanks other than dh feels good in comparison to dh #slap# get rid of no kite mechanics, welcome in season 1 again just no ranged dps required.
Late but good!
Sanguine Depth: Chamber Sentinel’s Severing SliceThis is currently bugged again and now once again frontals (?) or hit melee when it didn't really before. Two melees died to it in our key yesterday, seems like an oversight maybe but it had the contrary effect to what was intended.
Ok first let me say I consider these overall to be good changes...kiting tanking in duingeons, when in raids tanks are much less mobile against way more superior foes, just feels weird. That being said, the whole discussion really just shows how dated WoWs combat is. Hey, I'm a paying subscriber, I'm not trashing the game just to do so - but I think combat could use some much needed modernazation. Other mmos that are also very old gave tanks a much more active role without resorting to kiting.Example: (disclaimer, II KNOWE the following game isn't considered a gold standard, but hear me out): Star Wars The Old Republic gave tanks a LOT more to do, things that wow could implement. For example, Tanks in SWTOR are almost like damage mitgation for party members as much as they are meat shields. SWTOR also had much more compelling CC options (fewer of them, but more fun, plus a CC diminishing returns bar you could actually see). Force push, grappling cables, etc are imo much more engaging things than kicks and taunts that you don't even really see visually or feel like your character is doing anything heroic. They could also swap different buffs, based on class, between allies to absorb a portion of their damage taken. What a concept.I don't think wow is going to reinvent itself. It's old and it makes sense to just get what they can from it at this point. But some of these types of changes could go along way to refreshing the game for what they consider a very boring role (tanking while just siting there standing still) wiithout doing anything revolutionary.
Good changes, those are even more important than the first wave.
