Is it account bound? I don't think I can muster the patience to do this quest on alters :/
It is not as far as we know since you need to re-progress through alts it looks like. Perhaps something may change in the future!
Reeeally have my fingers crossed for them making this account-wide... "This Side Up" is nothing compared to this questline and they made that account-wide :/ Almost finished on my main, but... yeah. A nightmare to do it on every alt.
Meanwhile I'm still fighting essence RNG in EM. At 6 out of 30 essences right now. I rarely get more than one per week.
Awesome. I got my 20 nightshards last night! Will do this soon :) Thanks for the heads up that it works now.
I do raids on my BM Hunter and that gun is as ugly as it gets ..I really want the bear appearance on my druid tho, might have to start doing normal raids on him :(
This, without a doubt, needs to be changed to account-wide availability. I as a player have been thoroughly dedicated and enjoying going through the different dungeons and raids on my main, but I do not want to have to do that for each and every single alt I have, especially considering how RNG-related the raid drops are.
whelp there goes any interest in that particular appearance for my warrior.
I think the worst part is people who can't run raids but can do Mythic+ don't get the M+ appearance. I have massive anxiety that stops me running anything with people I don't know. I've been running M+ with friends and we're doing fairly well, but wont get our appearance for hitting 15, it's really disheartening. I have no problems with raids getting fancy things I love that they have done that, I just wish the appearance for M+ wasn't locked behind that quest. Congrats to everyone who gets it mind.
My anxiety stops me doing so and I don't really see why I should have to do when Mythic plus has been advertised as small group progression content, yet doesn't get the shiny reward at the end.
Finally added Balance of Power to the database! Made a note in the post that Heart of Zin-Azshari is a reward - 1 million AP at level 25.
Ideally, yeah, make the Improving on History achievement account-wide. You would still have to run the questline on a single character to complete it, but at least all of your toons would get their artifact appearance unlocked.Alternative: Change the gate for the Valorous tier of tints to be the Unleashed Monstrosities achievement. It still takes time to reach 8 out of 11, but just about anyone can join a group and tag the world bosses needed to complete this, even if your gear, skills, or PC are horrible. Not everyone can run the raids. Besides, gates for the other tiers are on the easier side with more challenging tints inside the tier. This change would then be set up the same way as the others. Then at least players could get access to other tints in the tier that they are able to obtain.Better still, do both.
Echoing the account-wide sentiments of others here. There's really no difference doing this on different classes (which was their justification for why the Mists challenge mode sets weren't unlocked for all classes if you got gold on one), so I don't see why it wouldn't be account-wide. And with not just one, but two RNG segments, you might be done in a month if you're super lucky, or it might take three or more if you're not. I'm still stuck on the EN part due to bad luck and getting a late start, as well as problems finding groups (yes, I'm totally sure you need 880 for normal EN). I dread the thought of having to do this on other characters, but some of those alternate skins are just too good to pass up on.I think I'll hold off starting an alt on the questline until they make an announcement one way or the other. Until then, once will be more than enough.
As someone who has been clearing EN since its release but is still only at 25/30 on the corrupted essences. I think they need to fix the RNG aspect of this quest. I know people who got all of them in 4 weeks and then people like me who get the stick. If they dont make it account wide make it so they drop on LFR if you have the achieve to make farming them easier. Also make the RNG a bit better to make it less frustrating. As it stands the thought of having to do this on my Mage and Paladin makes me break out into a cold sweat....
I dont know many people who honestly appreciate RNG when it comes to necessary quests, and account wide things are a huge plus as far as reasons to finish content. So then following those thoughts, I do not understand why Blizzard has yet to concede to these realities and just make the game better. Just because a thing is tedious, does not mean it is complex. Beyond that, complexity for the sake of it is just boring/confusing. Making aomething complex enough to be curious and then giving us our dues once we finishthe legwork is all that needs to happen and I would be very happy to do that all once. The necessity of minimum normal mode baffles me as well. Do they not get that player choice is what makes their game? Why can people not play how they want to play? They madr lfr for a reason and they need to recognize that, then utilize it.
Cosmetic stuff requires an effort to earn. The balance of power skin is not needed for player power.
