Way to go hunters....still representing the bottom tier for all 3 specs!
what there is to analyze at this point, like what going to changebottom still bottom, top still top
Balance overall seems pretty good. Some of the highest performing specs are getting nerfs in 9.1 so we have to see how will things look then but looking at this chart Blizzard is doing a fine job at balancing. Something will always be at top or bottom but everything is viable
Sub rogues at the bottom of the list, sigh.
oh wow holy $%^& lmao im a fury warrior main all day and seeing arms as second to last hurts but feels good knowing its still pvp meta. never expected to see arms so low usually fury gets dumpstered or stays with arms
Fury warriors shine with good gear. As bosses getting killed faster, most burst dps specs would replace those specs who build up their mechanical dmg. Affliciton warlocks is great example. Sad to see them getting dumpstered in the upcoming patch.
A note: This is mythic CN chart, so just because some specs are bottomline doesn't mean they are irrelevant. Most of the specs are doing fine in heroic or m+15s
Well, as someone whose mained enhance since early TBC, cant say im exactly surprised that Blizzard allows the spec to be bottom tier...its pretty much the status quo, for whatever reason they rarely ever want enhance to be good let alone top tier. Its just been in free fall down the rankings the last 6+ weeks of raiding. I would really love to see it receive significant buffs much like Ele has(although, ele was still in a much better position pre-buffs than enhance is) but I know not to hold my breath for them, cant say Id be surprised if they do nothing for enhance for 9.1. Or theyll give them tiny buffs that make little difference so that they can say "see, we gave enhance some attention". Its just so odd how Blizzard really seem to "hate" certain specs like enhance, demo, etc. and rarely ever let them be good, allowing them to spend a majority of the time towards the bottom in performance and usually only very short periods where theyre good but virtually never good enough to be at the top of the top. Meanwhile theyve made sure specs like Fire Mage is top tier pretty much the entirety of the last 4 years, but I suppose thats just because Mage is the teachers pet and they have always, and will always have at minimum one spec thats top tier. Id just love it if the spec I main could get its "time in the sun" even if its only for one raid tier, instead of the specs that have been habitually towards the top way more often than not the last few xpacs.
Unpopular opinion:The top 6 should be bottom 6 for the next tier.
At this point on this chart, why dont they nerf the top five just a little bit and buff the bottom 8 or so, then we can have some class balance?
Man, my Arms is really falling behind rapidly. Bummer. Started out pretty OK. Hope 9.1 has some balancing fixes there
In case people aren't aware, because this is looking at 95th percentile, these are players most likely at the top of gear/itemization. Also, most likely in groups where the kill times are significantly shorter. Some classes benefit more from shorter fights, some classes are significantly weaker overall on short fights (like unholy DKs not getting to use a 2nd Army of the Dead). Take standings with a grain of salt, it doesn't mean that the average Hunter is worse than the average Warrior, it just means that higher gear and shorter kill times benefit a Warrior more. This alone doesn't present a case for any particular class nerf either, only data across multiple weeks through the tier would.
I wish they would just make Fury worst than Arms
It always seems to be the same specs at the top with the most representation, perhaps Blizzard should consider giving some considerable buffs to the specs that are least played. It doesn't help that the M+ meta in high keys is the same, change it up a bit.
Agreed there is a major drop after the first 3 and then a major drop for the last 4. At least MM is still ok in M+
