The Clerics of Karabor are located just south of the entrance to the Black Temple and you have to wear the Spectrecles to see them.

The Cloak seems to be a fairly rare drop, I farmed the clerics for about 40 min before I got mine to drop.

Do no go in to the black temple, there is a big boss there, which got an "Aura of Death" that kills you when you get near him... But you only get the aura if he already killed you (large aggro range)

Before you can do the "Divination: Gorefiend's Cloak/Truncheon/Armor" quests, you need to do the prerequisite chains. After you do the appropriate prereq chain (they're pretty quick), then you can do the three Divination quests in any order you want.

If you are wearing the goggles BEFORE you get the quest, you may find that they can attack you, but you cant attack them. Un-equip, then re-equip goggles; should be good to kill.

A friend of mine got 6 bars in lvl 69 (over 190k exp) and the cloak didnt drop for him yet. Sended gm tickets: working as intended bla bla. They even told us to go look here for info ^^ Gotta love that. (he killed 400+)

I've killed probably two dozen now and still no drop. Though two mobs fell and I simply couldn't loot them. They had the loot aura, my toon bent down to loot, but never came up. Somehow I know that the drop was there. I tried logging out and it didn't fix the problem. If it happens again I'm opening a ticket. All other mobs looted fine.

I was standing on the road pulling them maybe 4 or 5 then i walked up a bit north maybe 3 secs and there were 2 cleric mobs walking on the road i killed both of them and they dropped it. They were definitley different in that they were walking along the road not on the side. GL!

This might just be a guess buy i killed about 30 Clerics and then i killed one and it dropped....the difference in the mobs was the first 30 were wearing robes and the one that dropped the cloak WAS actually wearing a visible cloak..this might be wrong but hey give it a shot

I really need help here. After completing the quest, Teron Gorefiend - Lore and Legend, I trashed the spectrecles seeing as there were no more quests available from Zorus the Judicator. Then, I discovered a reward that I want at the end of this chain but I need the spectrecles to complete the quest. While on Zorus' quests, he would replace the spectrecles for me. Now that I am not on his quests, he will not. Interacting with him results in this question, "Here to help with the disturbances?" There is no further interaction possible with him. Does anyone know another way of getting them back?

Hey, i got mine after killing a whole heap of these things, then i saw 2 of them patting up and down the road at 63,50 got it from the female, if you look for the 2 patting be careful as there are ghost horsemen that also pat up and down this road, goodluck =)

took me about 40 kills to get it to drop, so drop rate being low can still be confirmed... but the second i got the cloak, the ghost rider rode by alone (no mobs) so i was able to cap him easily. Both easily dont with a 70 Balance Druid

When farming these mobs for the cloak, keep a watch on the road. The riders you need for Divination: Gorefiend's Truncheon https://www.cuckhead.com/tbc/quest=10636 Pass right by this area. they rode up behind me and almost overwhelmed me.

Reading the comments here while I was farming the Clerics, I noticed a few people mentioned they got theirs off the guy walking up the path. Got suspicious, and I'd killed about 15 with no luck when I saw the pair walking along the road, so I popped over to kill them and it dropped off them. Dunno if it was a coincidence or if it's always off the road patrollers, but it's something to keep in mind.

Well I don't know if it was a coincidence either.....but after reading the comments I decided to attack the two pats on the road. Well low and behold.....I got the cloak off of them. Whole quest took about 2 mins to complete since it dropped off the first 2 mobs I killed.

I didn't see it mentioned but for Balance Druids, your Treants will do you no good, I summoned them and while I was getting beat up by 3 mobs they just stood around and offered no help whatsoever. I guess since they are not wearing Spectrecles they cannot see the mobs. Luckily the cloak dropped on the 1st mob I killed.

35-40 minutes killing. Killed 50+ clerics. Standing, crying, walking... nothing. Relogged. Got cloak on the 2nd kill after relog. Not the 1st time that I have to relog for a quest item.

To get the cloak first kill look for a Draenei Cleric of Karabor on the road he is wearing a flowing cloak and hi shoulders have pink glowyness on em, when I fought him he had a female Draenei Cleric of Karabor with him.

One: The mobs are invisible, so you must wear the Spectrecles to see them. I got to the temple, and was trying to get inside because I forgot about that (I had equipped my old headgear for the stats).

Two: Don't get too close to the Black Temple. There is a big, mechanical monster that patrols a short distance from the temple. (Its level is ? to me, at level 68)

64, 49 are confirmed. To those w/o Coords: Far eastern area of the map.

EDIT: Oh, and try not to die if you can...there's only one spirit healer on the map, and it's at the beginning of the area at Shadowmoon Village.

the riders of karabor rode past me while i was slaying the clerics.

in front of the black temple equip the head item which allows you to see ghosts.
The clerics are on the right side in front of the temple. Got it from the 3rd kill

Took me 13 kills. Only good thing from this was being level 70 and getting the extra gold for the turn in. That and the stack of netherweave.

When I got the drop I heard the npc crying, as in /cry... so you might want to watch for that. The drop for me was at 63,46. It was around six kills for it.

Dropped from the third kill. Tons of the mobs around so dont worry about slow respawns. And like others have mentioned. Equip your goggles. :=)

So I accidentally pitched my goggles cleaning my bags out and now I can't finish the quest line. I tried abandoning and restarting. You don't get the goggles back if you drop them...ever. Unless I'm missing something. Does anyone know how to get the goggles back to finish this quest?

This cloak is a totally random drop. It took me 40 minutes before i got the cloak and it was from a female, who wasn't wearing a cloak or glowing shoulder pads.
I've killed several clerics walking up and down the road, they don't always drop off of them....some people just got lucky and got it off the first kill.

OK to many peeps have asked to how do u get goggles if u look in ur quest book answer id there but for all of you taht can't take the time to do that i will say you must go to the undead lady you get the first pair from simple.

I can't do this quest the ghosts are all green (friendly) to me. They do attack me however but I can't fight back. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

Put the Spectrecles on and landed at 64,51. Thats the southwest edge of the Black Temple for those without coordinates. Worked my way north finding plenty of clerics with easily single pulled spacing. Cloak dropped on the fifth kill.

I killed about 5 clerics with no drop. Then I killed one of the crying ones and it dropped.

Note to other Hunters:
unlike other undead in the game, you can NOT trap the clerics of Karabor. I saw 2 clerics walking together and thought I'd trap one and kill the other, then finish the trapped one off. Threw my pet in, let him aggro both, tossed out a MultiShot, and when the one that wasn't being attacked by my pet ran over the trap... nothing happened! Thought at first maybe he resisted it, but the trap stayed on the ground. I ran around a bit trying to get him to run directly on top of it again but it just sat there, with the guy (ghost?) beating on me. I wasn't really in danger of dying, but it wasn't what I was expecting... so if you don't get the cloak on the first few kills and get impatient like I did, don't start trying to kill 2 or 3 at a time or don't be careless enough to get an add or 2 if your pet can't take the extra damage

OK tried the walker, no joy,
Went right down and killed every single on of these clerics, no joy
Second pass through them, killed at 64, 49 and cloak dropped.

At least I dropped 3 greens before the cloak :)

Yea, I made the mistake of not wearing my spectrecles and killing mobs inside of Karabor... LOL Got it my first drop, that is, after I followed correct instructions. Oh yea, don't expect strangers to help you, I asked people who had completed the quest and, well no help >.<

Many a cruel act he committed but none so cold as the slaughter of the clerics of Karabor.

After Gul'dan's Horde defeated the draenei of Karabor, the surviving clerics of Karabor were marched out, told that they were to be taken to Hellfire Citadel as prisoners of war.

Gorefiend, not yet a death knight, murdered each and every last one of them in cold blood. They now roam in front of the Black Temple with vengeance in their hearts.

It is the clerics of Karabor that hold the cloak of Gorefiend.
