This might look like a noob item to most hunters but take a good look at the speed of this thing: 2.20. On my very low-geared hunter this makes my ranged attack speed go to 1.59, which makes it perfect for a Auto/Steady Shot (1:1) rotation. I've tried several other weapons to replace this green bow, incl. https://www.cuckhead.com/tbc/item=28286 which dropped my DPS with 50 points. Am I missing something?

I wouldn't say that, its better than the coilfang needler and you can get it at 65, Don't start running coilfang till 63 or 64, the quest is easy, just have your pet get agro and drop the seeds.

This bow then would last you AT LEAST 2 levels, 65-67 to get the bow from netherstorm... but thats a elite quest, so unless you have some 70 guildie killing everything for you this bow will be with you for a good while.
