Then you can turn them in THIS quest. The salves you gain are used to clean the corrupted flowers around felwood.

Yep. this drops of every corrupted mob in fel wood as long as you have the Cenarion beacon in your inventory. You get the Cenarion beacon for free if you talk to the Night elf south of Emerald santorary (sorry for the bad spelling)
If your horde you can get one talking to the tauren north of Emerald. hope this helps

In order to get these shards, you need to have completed the quest before it. To get these shard to drop though, you need to ask the quest giver for the little trinket thing. Once you got it happy hunting. As a bonus you can turn these things in for a plant cleaner. This will turn out to give you some nuce buffs in return once you clean a plant.

When I first started getting thes I thought it was fr some sort of special warlock quest, then i realise my beacon was detecting them.

I got all 30 of mine from Jaedenar.

how i can get this 1 i want to collect corrupted soul shards and i done Cleansing Felwood and have Salve via Hunting visible along with Salve via Mining but dont have Beacon i need to press chat bubble is near the ! marks?

dont remember was there Chat bubble mark but is that it?

I did the first quest so that I could get these corrupted soul shards, then I went to grind for timbermaw rep. I got at leasta 80 shards on my way to neutral reputation and I think I ended up just selling most of them. I got a couple of berries that give a nice stamina buff when you eat em, as well as restoring health so if you want free food for a couple of levels it's not a bad quest.

I been collecting these things left and right, and have been tossing them cause no one knows what they're for. I however stumbled on the answer....collect them and turn them into Arathandris silversky at 54,86 in Felwood. She will give you plant salve in return for another quest. Same thing with Tainted Skins. I must have tossed 100 each of these things before I stumbled on her.

wth are u talking about, im furblog rep building and they drop off them every kill, if not every other kill, im getting these faster then i can find the damn flowers

although most mobs drop them it's a wast of time unless your planing on Grinding the Elementals! OR if your getting your Rep up for timbermaw Hold Becuse I Found the Corrupted Soul Shards drop very poorly, and the Skinning of tainted items even worse.

to date i've gote 5 tainted skins and 23 Corrupted soul shards and i'm almost Honered with Timbermaw Hold so you figure how many mobs i've Gone after also compleated every Quest that i can find in Felwood ...and yes i've turned in Feathers 12 times in total so no that was not the main part of my rep increase.

You turn these in for plant salve to same elf that gives the beacon for the felcreep quest.felcreep is for the salve by gathering quest.shards are for the salve by hunting quest.I turne din both kinds for salve,just pick the right quest.

i actually did pretty good.. the drop rate seems fair..but if u also insclude the skinning part for the tainted skins.. it seems better.. when you get the salve.. and "cure" the plant, you can get fair buffs..like health increase or stamina from things u eat

Maybess Riverbreeze: Located at 46, 83 in Felwood

Get quest from Maybess Riverbreeze, “Cleansing Felwood”. Get 15 Blood Amber from the mobs at 55,18 and return to Maybess Riverbreeze. She’ll give you a Cenarion beacon you only need to keep in your inventory to use. Return to Maybess Riverbreeze when you have 6 or more Currupted Soul Shards or 4 or more Tainted Vitrol.

Salve via Hunting: Turn in 6 Currupted Soul Shards for 2 Cenarion plant salves.
Note from Maybess Riverbreeze: Possessing a Cenarion beacon allows one to see a corrupted soul shard on those tainted beasts that are put down for the greater good. I rind shards into a usable reagent that goes into making Cenarion plant salve. We will use that salve to turn corrupted plants into healthy ones again.

Salve via Mining: Turn in 4 Tainted Vitrol for 2 Cenarion plant salves.
Note from Maybess Riverbreeze: If you possess a Cenarion beacon while mining in Felwood, you will be able to see tainted vitriol that corrupts a vein of raw metal. I know how to purify that vitriol and turn it into a reagent that goes into making Cenarion plant salve. You will then use that salve on plants you find in the wild that need saving.

So what do you do with the salve? Around Felwood there are corrupted plants. Right clicking on them uses up some of your salve to purify the plant. Right clicking a second time picks up the item or temporarily buffs you, depending on which plant you pick.

Corrupted Windblossom takes 2 salves to purify and gives you and handful of Windblossom Berries. Windblossom Berries are soulbound and using them restores 1933 health over 27 sec. Must remain seated while eating. Also increases your Stamina by 10 for 10 min.

Corrupted Whipper Root takes 3 salves to purify and gives you a handful of Whipper Root Tubers. Whipper Root Tubers are soulbound and using them restores 700 to 900 health.

Corrupted Songflowers take 2 salves to purify and grants a blessing Songflower Serenade. The blessing lasts 60 minutes and "Increases chance for a critical hit by 5% and all attributes by 15.”

Corrupted Night Dragon takes 4 salves to purify and gives you a handful of Night Dragon’s Breath. Night Dragon’s Breath are soulbound and using them restores 394 to 456 mana and 394 to 456 health.

Drop rate of these here is BS, spent hours killing everything in Felwood (with the beacon) and got 5. Anyone running round with loads of tubers/whatever should be banned for exploiting.

In Classic WoW this is still the case:

In order to loot the Corrupted Soul Shards, you must be carrying a Cenarion Beacon in your inventory.
You can receive this beacon from Maybess or Arathandris, as appropriate to your faction, once you have completed their quest.
