You can find him inside a cave in Ruins of Zul'Mamwe,in Straglethorn Vale, with two more guards. Concentrate on him, get the quest item and run. He is level 45 and I(43 priest at the time) killed him by myself. Non elite.

Ana'thek is found in the south-eastern part of the ruins. He patrols but eventually he always comes back to his cave. I suggest joing around and attacking the cave from the rear, you can do this by walking along the cliff. When he leaves to start his patrol, clear the surrounding area of wandering mobs. When he returns, kill HIM first, loot the body and run away. lvl 44 undead shadow priest, no problem.

i killed all 3 being at lvl 43 on a pali. i just concentrated fire like he recommended then killed the mana user 2nd then the arms warior. but i'm overpowered so i dontt think it counts =/

i got help from a 67 worrior to get ana'thek and solo'd the rest as a 38 arms worrior with ravager. most all of what u need to kill is by the 44 elite wich docter, he is on the highest spot in that area in a bunch of ruins at about 45.45, good luck :)

yeah i soloed the mobs at 43 as a proc tank, the named dropped easy but only being able to use one healing pot during the fight i ran like hell after i dropped the caster....
