New Feature: Level 85 Talent Calculator
If you've been looking closely, you may have noticed a new button pop up on our
talent calculator
recently!
We've added a
button which lets you increase the level cap to
85
! Now you can play around with
Cataclysm
builds early!
Remember, we're obviously going to get a pretty major
talent overhaul
before we reach the release of Cataclysm. That having been said, though... it's still fun to play, isn't it? :D

So a little while back, right around the release of

Echo Isles and Gnomeregan Official News!
For those of you who haven't been following the spoilers, The pre-Cataclysm world event is coming up soon—and from the looks of it, it will be revolving primarily around the efforts of the Alliance to retake Gnomeregan, and the Horde to retake the Echo Isles!
Blizzard has just released a sneak preview of both events on the official site, with some awesome screenshots and a little background for those who don't know the history:
High Tinker Mekkatorque, betrayed by Mekgineer Thermaplugg and forced to flee the irradiated city of Gnomeregan with the few of his fellow gnomes who managed to survive, is preparing to reclaim his once glorious city. Meanwhile, in distant Durotar, Vol'jin of the Darkspear trolls is determined to exact revenge upon the witch doctor Zalazane for dividing the Darkspears and seizing the land bestowed to them by Thrall: the Echo Isles. About a week ago I got a letter that was very affecting. It almost got lost in the inbox shuffle, but fortunately I caught it only a few days late, because I found it really affecting.
It warms my heart to see gamers coming out to do something really good for society, and considering the way mainstream media only seems to notice when a gamer shoots up a school, it's more important than ever that we work together to get the word out.

My name is a Maria, a SF Bay Area geek and a very avid gamer. From the age of 7 when my Dad got me into gaming and bought me an NES Action Set/Bundle, I’ve been hooked. As part of that feature, they're looking for hints and tips from WSG veterans. Is that you? If so, please feel free to post your favorite Warsong Gulch

New Features: Contact Tool and Heirloom Slider
Wowhead has implemented a few tasty new features!
Contact Tool
First, we've created a whole new architecture to let users contact us. You can now use the
Feedback
link found at the top of the page to contact us using the nifty lightbox pictured at the right. We've also upgraded the interface used to report comments, forum posts, screenshots, and
completion
data, so use those report buttons!
It's also worth mentioning that the tool works even while you aren't logged in, so now you guys have no excuse not to use it!
Heirloom Slider
In addition, we've also added a
slider
to all of our
heirloom
item pages — which you can drag to see the stats change as your level does.
Could it be any more convenient?

Some Private Profiles Reset
If you were one of the users who was concerned about profile privacy issues, please go to your user page and double-check your private character status!
We made an internal fix and unfortunately we had to wipe part of the data which determined which profiles were private and which were not.
All good now, but unfortunately you MAY have to
re-flag
your profiles as private. Just use the "User Page" link in the top right to go to your list of characters and profiles, select the checkbox, and click "Make Private".
