Must be Honoured with Timbermaw to buy this recipe

A great enchantment that is constantly in demand.
The most efficient way of grinding Timbermaw rep is to gather some friends and wreck havoc on the various Winterfall encampments in Winterspring.
Each Winterfall mob killed yields +5 rep and there's a decent (15%) chance they will drop spirit beads.
A stack of 5 spirit beads can be redeemed for +75 rep with the Timbermaw faction.

I must say, i have never regret grinding to exalted pre-tbc, mostly because this was one of the best enchants you could get, but also because of the cool trinket, which was useful back then.
as said in the post by quiffy, twinks are willing to pay higher fees for an enchant like this, because it is more rare due to all the old school people stopping, rerolling, or simply just changing professions.
I have grinded an other char to exalted with this faction, mostly for fun, and i did i while leveling, just to get that extra bit of exp (and yes, i had a level 70 to help me).
anyways, this is still a wanted enchant and the effort to get honored will most likely be repaid with fees for twinks.

To gain faction, you can do the quests given by the furbolgs and/or just kill other furbolgs. Easiest thing is to kilkl lots and lots of Deadwood and/or Winterspring furbolgs, you get 5 reputation-points per kill. When you hit Friendly, a new killing-quest becomes available (the one in Felwood is bad, because the travelign time fromt eh southern part of the map to the furbolg to turn it in is a waste of time and drops) in winterspring. The furbolg at the winterspring-entrance aks you to kill 8 of the three types of winterspring Furbolg. Thing is, right next to him is 2 camps, a mage can clear both, and then they respawn by the time he/she is done. Turning the quest in gives 75 rep-points (+10% for humans ^^). I'm currently 1000 rep-points from revered with them.
I prefer killing the winterspring furbolgs because a) they drop Winterspring Firewater which the guild tanks LOVE (I enjoy using it to get a bigger mount than gnome warlocks) and b) they are hardly ever camped by hordes like the deadwood ones are. Also, a chest spawns at the 2 camps (random which camp) around 4 times an hour and it has some nice drops.

No no, you're confused. Rep always goes up on the bar, not down. You're at hated but gaining rep, when the bar is full you'll get an empty bar for hostile and you'll have to fill it up.

You need friendly to buy and sell from him, but honored to get the recipes.

TBC has changed a lot of things. If you have to solo this and are only going for Honored with this faction for the enchant I would recommend possibly waiting until you are higher level. While my higher level has nerfed my ability to gain as much rep per kill/turn-in I can grind these things one hell of a lot faster solo (as a mage) by getting more feathers than would ever be possible in a group and turning them in for much, much more rep than grinding kills. Doing a huge group grind is probably better at lower levels but with TBC out you may not be able to sustain the efficiency of a group grind like this for very long.
Since the increased enchanting cap has also fragmented the market you're probably going to be selling most of these enchants to twinks from here on out. It's just not worth the excessive amount of time you will put in at lower levels if you are soloing this faction rep, in my opinion.
Some people might disagree with that strategy but in all likelihood those people are going for Revered/Exalted and want to use feathers/beads to grind the hardest parts of this rep. For just Honored though, I'd say wait if you have TBC.

In 2 Days. Lvl 70. Drop rate on feathers is about 30%. 1 rep from kill. 25 rep from Chief.
I came run and kill everything non-stop. Dont share nothing with noone cause the faster you grind the quicker you leave.

this took me 3 days all up. The first day I grinding furbolg for about 2 hours. 2nd day probably about 8 - 10 hours straight. 3rd day maybe another 2. I could be wrong on those numbers but I did it over a 3 day period and definately spent the most time on the 2nd day. Had some help from a couple people here and there, its definately quicker in a group than it is solo. Saved up 150 feathers the first time i dumped them off and on day 3 i got 45 feathers .. with the kills inbetween, no idea how many that was, i guess that was enough to get to Honoured. I'm just glad its all over :)
Will put the +15 agi enchant on the Shadowblade I bought for my rogue.

hey, the highest level timbermaw people are in winterfall village, to the east of everlook, and they are 55-58... while the lowest levels are 47 in the southern area of felwood...
obviously if your approaching the place and know you want rep go for the lowest, but if your over 60 and just found this, your best bet to get 5 rep a kill is in winterfall village, Good Luck and Happy farming

FYI: The new patch that was put out today (2.2) has
doubled Timbermaw rep
.! At level 70 you now get x2 rep points for the Deeadwood Furbolgs and Winterfall Furbolgs. You get x6 rep points for Cheiftan Bloodmaw. You get x150 rep points for turning in beads and feathers! Glad I started this a couple days ago (I was almost "Hostile") and not a couple weeks/months ago :P

If you have a weapon that already has some sort of animation to it...like the Speedsteel rapier for example, which has a white ball that revolves around the blade, enchants will not show up on it. SO if you got 15+ agility on a weapon that has a glow or something like that without being enchanted, enchants will not show up.

Why everyone talk of grindin hundreds of deadwood furlbogs to get to honored? If u just do the chain quests in Winterfall and Felwood (700+ rep per deliver) u can get to honored without even gettin bored!

I learned the hard way on my first toon not to kill the timbermaws, Luckily i wasn't an enchanter so i didnt bother rep ginding. My second toon refrained from killing timbermaws (in ashzara for example) so once i got to felwood/winterspring it didn't take long at all to quest from neutral and then grind to honored. This was done in a couple of two hour blocks between level 50-57 (enhance shammy)

Plan ahead if you think you want this recipe. I am getting 10 rep per kill in north felwood and east winterspring at level 56. They are easy easy to kill and the grind is much easier to take when I'm getting experience. I won't be going to Outland until 58 anyway so this is a good way to finish off a level or so.

ive been meaning too get this 4 my rogue which who is an enchanter took me 2 days to get the 25 agility recipe actually not even two days probably about 8 hours from hostile to friendly and im almost honored my best advice is just to kill the deadwood and winterfall furbolgs u get 5 rep from killin either one and plus theres a repeatable quest in felwood which if u complete u get another 150 rep which is pretty good. Just keep grindin 4 a couple days and for sure u can be honored w/ timbermaw in no time.

Killing a furblog in either Felwood or Winterspring (doesn't matter what level they are) yields 10 rep points with Timbermaw Hold. Additionally, 5 of the Deadwood Feathers (Felwood) or 5 of the Warbeads (Winterspring) yields 150 rep for every turn in.
Also, it now appears that the pattern is no longer in limited supply, however you must be at 290 on enchanting to be able to "learn" it. If you are lower than 290 you can still purchase it- just hold it in your bank until you hit 290.

Actually, killing Furbolgs in the Deadwood or Felwood camps only gives you 2 Timbermaw reputation per kill.

I was hated by the timbermaw, u get 5 to 10 rep if you can still get XP from the kills, otherwise if you are to high you only get 2 rep per kill, like i got when i was lv 70.
You can do 2 extra quests at the NPC(who has the formula) for 500 rep each:
1: by giving him 30x runecloth and the other
2: by giving him 2x mooncloth.
I went from being hated to being honored so it is possible, i just did the beads thing after i did all of the quests and got the two other quests when i was friendly.

i literally just spoke with an enchanter on Dreanor who has this enchant, and she said that once you get your faction to Honored with the Timbermaw Furbolgs, they will sell you this formula.
i asked her if there was a quicker way to increase faction, she said the only way she knows of is by killing the Furbolgs in Felwood... apparently that could take a long time, killing those furlbolgs constantly for 5-7 days straight...
later on,
Rock.

All the evil furblogs give the same rep (named ones give slightly more), so you should just stick with the quickest ones to kill. Those being the ones in southern Felwood. Only problem is that with this enchant, everybody and their mother is camping them.

My guild went on a timbermaw rep raid to get these agi enchants for a friend. We went into LFG and recruited and summoned anyone that wanted to go. At the peak we had 25 people and moved very fast. It took us one and a half nights of going around the lake in northern felwood killing the furbolgs as they respawned(which is dangerously fast) having a blast in general.
I say a night and a half because a raid of horde came along and shut down our little operation so we quit for the night and did it again the next night but with less people. I would hate to grind it alone as they add like crazy and it is a popular place so it is not unlikely not to have the opposite faction show up angry when they see you killing THEIR furbolgs.

You do need timbermaw faction.
You don't have to kill only the bad furbolgs in felwood. There's also ones in winterspring.
I've heard the following but have not verified myself, so your mileage may vary....
You can get a quest in northern felwood (from a timbermaw outside the tunnel) to kill the southern felwood furbolgs. This nets very little faction and is considered not worth doing more than once. Just kill the furbolgs in the south until you are slightly past middle of neutral faction. Once there, head north in felwood to the same quest guy and get the quest to kill the guys on the north end of felwood. This still nets little faction but you are at least close to the guy so it doesn't take much time away from killing.
One you are friendly (or perhaps 1/2 way through friendly?) there is supposed to be a quest to kill the furbolgs in winterspring. This is supposed to net much high faction rewards though I'm still at "unfriendly" after several hours so I can't verify :-) :-) I've heard 15-20 hours of faction hardcore farming will do it. I'm no where near that level of effort invested yet.

It's a hard boring slog for a grind, but me (70 warlock), grinded from unfriendly to honored in 4 and a half hours. Felguard cleaned up the cursed ones who were still walking after curses were inflicted. I found the best route was working the three camps clockwise to the north of the lake in Felwood - they respawn at a fair rate so if you're high level you can keep dropping them for feathers.
If anyones interested in getting this enchant applied, I can do both weapon agility enchants on Hydraxis.
See ya.

This is a proper pain in the arse to do. Best bet is group up or form a raid with other poor unfortunate enchanters and just grind til your head hurts and you can't stand the sight of furbolgs anymore!
Blizzard really have it in for enchanters... 225+ trainer in Uld and now this. Oh well, back to the grind :)

Friend (lvl60 rogue) told today, that he done from unfriendly to honored in 9 hours by killing furbolgs in felwood. It's mixed with solo, rate is ~800 honor per hour, and in party with mages, rate is up to 2500 honor per hour. Nice addition is low lvl player, as he is realy good for aggroing furbolgs from large distances.
For rogue (and other melees) there is one problem, you need to hit once every furbolg, or you wont get honor points. For healers it's easier, just heal all mages/warlocks, and you are fine.

I grinded out the rep until honored while I was leveling. Just so everyone knows, this and the 2h +25 enchant isn't at the vendor yet.
Despite the site saying it is available in phase 1, it isn't. Pretty sure it is either phase 4 or 5 when they are available.

Crusader vs Agility?
For a (Fury) Warrior, Crusader still beats out Agility easily, especially on longer fights allowing for a more even and average uptime. Looking at my guilds logs, the average uptime seems to be about 30% for dual-wielders, so that's an average 30 strength or 60 AP over the course of a fight, not counting overlaps. Two Agility enchants give you 1.5% crit and 1.5% dodge, which even for tanks isn't worth it over Crusaders.
For rogues, things are a lot closer. 30 AP on average + more with overlap, versus 30 AP and 1% crit flat. Personally I would not bother replacing Crusader with Agility unless you swim in Gold, but for newly aquired weapons Agi is a safer bet, as fun as those double proc burst moments can be.
