For the Shadow-Sour Mite look for disturbed dirt around where cabbage is and use the 2nd button ability to shatter the ground and then use 1 button to kill the mites

To do the havesting of carrots and cabbage, you need to be in your little scarecrow suit from the guy at start, and then walk out into the fields where you will see a dim patch of carrots or cabbage. Stand in that patch, and then use your new action buttons (3 and 4) to pick up and then throw either veggie at the nearby little scarecrow NPC who is highlighted as "Cart-Pusher."

You spawn the mites by using the jump key. When you land on the ground, they will spawn. Back up a bit and get them all in front of you and then use the flame button.

Where you are given the quest is not where they are located, you must travel behind you across the bridge

After an obscene amount of wasted time, jumping around and trying to torch the resulting Shadow-Sour Mites, jump as I may, nothing showed up. I even tried randomly using posted coordinates to no avail. I swear it wasn't there the whole time I wasted, but on the mini-map, just like other quests, a sub-section of the area was cordoned off. I jumped around in the highlighted area, and lo and behold. I hope this saves someone else some frustration.

Don't be like me and be an idiot. now that this area isn't flooded with other people I was having the hardest time killing the Mites. Here is a step by step instructions on how to get the mites to show up.

1) Get in little Scarecrow mech suit
2) Cross the bridge to the highlighted area on your minimap
3) Look for the little mounds of dirt on the ground.
4) press the second button on your action bar called "Remy Jump." This will make your mech leap and slam into those dirt mounds.
5) the Shadow-Sour Mites then come out and burn them with your flamethrower (the first button on your action bar)

Hope this helped someone be smart, and not dumb like me.

Description

Our parents went off to fight the monsters that invaded our farm. While they are gone, we try to keep the farm running. We have a harvestbot to help with chores, but I keep crashing it into the river. We could finish our chores if you could help us drive the harvestbot!
