For some reason I cant call Gasbag, I only get the message "You can't do that yet". But atleast you dont need to have it up in order to loot the Rotbloom Petals.

This week, this quest offered a cosmetic reward, Stitched Wraith's Visage.

Edit: for what its worth, Stitchyard is level 4. As I'm Exalted with the Stitchyard at this point, for the most part I only do these weekly quests if they offer a cosmetic reward or I still need for the achievement, Abominable Lives.

The hostile Writhing Rotbloom in the quest area drop the item - typically 2 to 3 each. The neutral Rotbloom Seedling were never lootable, so even though the mouse over tooltip says they are part of the quest, so if they are not next to a hostile Writhing Rotbloom don't waste your time.

Considering Maldraxxus is filled with metal references, I think it's safe to say the name of this quest may be referencing the band Suicidal Tendencies.

They're not quite "traditional" metal as many of the other Maldraxxi references are, but they are still extremely popular in the metal community, particularly with metalheads into thrash metal -- Suicidal Tendencies came on the scene during the 80's wave of thrash metal that produced and brought Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer ("the Big Four" in descending order of awesomness... or "alphabetical", if you prefer :P) to the fore of metal. Three of The Big Four got their start in the same year, 1981; Megadeth began in 1983, after Dave Mustaine departed from Metallica -- one of the better things to happen in terms of metal lineups, such as when the vocalists of Dark Tranquility and In Flames switched bands, making both bands way, way better.

Not only did they form at the same time as the thrash wave began in Northeast US and SoCal, but Suicidal Tendencies is widely considered the fathers of "crossover thrash" bridging the gap between --or genre-blending-- hardcore punk and thrash metal. So despite their strong hardcore punk sound, they still are booked on the same tours as current big-name thrash bands -- I saw them with Havok (a newer thrash band out of... Colorado? I think) and Megadeth years ago.

The late 70's into the 80's was a tremendous time for heavier music, all over the world, with Suicidal Tendencies being a pioneer of just one of the new waves of music being created.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this in 10.2.7 but this quest will not appear for me, week after week. I saved the Stitchyard for last on my journey to Back from the Beyond, and Gas Bag will NOT offer this quest. I've gotten Special Formula every week and it's the last thing I need to complete the entire meta-achieve.

Description

My gas is the most potent in all of Maldraxxus, but I've heard some of the others saying that it's not the strongest in the Shadowlands. They claim there are some plants in Ardenweald with a bloom that is far more pungent than my gas. Nonsense! Let's go and check these plants out. If their stench is as strong as the stories claim, I might even be able to mix them in with my own gas!
