These mobs, when afflicted with Grip of the Scourge, run south towards the agressive Heroes and despawn near them.

as horde they are yellow to me (neutral). also if you come to farm them for frostweave the drop rate sucks and they rarely drop more than one.

Despite being apparently free from the scourge (until they are converted by the skeletons) these mobs count as scourge for the argent tournament dailies.

Crackface, the droprate of frostweave is actually very good. The Converted heros how ever do not have a good chance to drop frostweave. I pulled about 4 of these mobs and 3/4 dropped frostweave. Considering it is about a 48% drop just about every other Fallen Hero's Spirit should drop some frostweave.

Any1 has any idea why there are only human and elf spirits? I don't recon humans, night elves and high/blood elves working together without other races :/ Especially because night elves and high/blood elves kinda don't like each other... Doesn't make any sense to me.

Interesting tidbit: When afflicted by Grip of the Scourge, you can agro the mob, feign, and use your Light-Blessed Relic as if they were never afflicted by it.

Haven't tested it on other classes, but I assume it would work similarly with other agro resets.

the drop rate for frostweave has been nerfed I think. It certainly isn't 50%. When I did get a drop it was 2x but it seemed most didn't have any.

The Fallen Hero's Spirits will be a good spot to farm cloth for some, and a bad one for others. This has to do with how many quests you've personally done in Icecrown and if it's good or not depends on phase of the zone you're in.

My tailor was in the final phase from finishing all of the quests in Icecrown and it was -not- a good spot to farm. They ran by too infrequently and I had too much downtime. I had better picking in other locations. Ironically I had much better cloth drops using a non-tailor character in this spot. He hadn't done many Icecrown quests and was in a different phase. If he had tailoring it would have been a good spot to farm.

Farming Fallen Hero's Spirits for frostweave cloth being good or bad depends on how many quests you've done in the zone.

It's easy to get carried away. The spawn rate is so high and the killing so easy that you can forget to watch your health bar. Those frantic little pecks build up! To my embarrassment I died a couple of times before I found out that as an Undead, I can eat the corpses (go figure;-)

As a level 85 Protection Warrior (non-tailor in a level 1 guild), I spent 15 minutes farming Fallen Hero's Spirit in Icecrown and got 38 Frostweave Cloth. Ranged DPS would most likely be able to farm quite a bit more in this time frame.

The technique I used is as follows:

Scourge Converter use Grip of the Scourge on Fallen Hero's Spirit whom then flee to the Southwest. I start at that choke point and grab 3 or so that are trying to run pass me. As I move North/Northeast, I grab the Fallen Hero's Spirit that have not been inflicted with Grip of the Scourge along with those trying to run past me. Iend up grabbing anywhere from 1 to 8, most of which do not drop any cloth since I am not a tailor. For those of you that are tailors level 400+ (50% increase to cloth drops when tailoring is 400+), you will get quite a bit of cloth in a very short amount of time.

After a second 15 minute run (this run took place 2 hours after the first run), I was only able to get 30 Frostweave Cloth. However, in each 15 minute run I managed to get a cooking recipe. They are as follows:

First 15 minute run awarded me with Recipe: Tasty Cupcake.
Second 15 minute run awarded me with Recipe: Bad Clams.

EDIT: In response to Brunpal's post about the phasing, I did this farming spree having completed no quests in Northrend. If you have quested through this zone, you may not find as much cloth due to phasing.

If your a warrior with Knight-Captain (1800 RBG) so you can buy Replica Lieutenant Commander's Plate Pauldronsthis then you can look like one of the NPC just add this Titansteel Destroyer to look like Fallen Hero's Spirit if your arms, all that you need is this set from garrison Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Level 2 excluded the shoulders because you are going to use Replica Lieutenant Commander's Plate Pauldrons now
