You also miss out on a fair bit of renown if you aren't already at 80
I made the mistake of skipping on an alt crafter...lost thousands worth of rep. Be forewarned. Not worth it if you want to hit rep as quick as possible for recipes.
Well re-did this on an alt and it took me 1:30hrs not the 45~60mins the article says skipping all the cutscenes and not doing a single side quest just a few gathering nodes. I got: 2100 rep,2 pieces of gear 233 (seem to be different on different classes (warlock was bracers and shoulders and on DK gloves and chest)310 animaabout 800 goldCompared to a second alt that did the skip that sets you right after you would be when you finish the three campaign chapters.
You can take fresh alts through the whole ZM campaign if you do not want to skip them. Talk to the npc in front of Tal'Inara's table in Oribos and skip the Torghast, Maw and Korthia stuff, then talk to Tal'Inara and choose the Primus instead of choosing to skip. You can then ask to be transported to the Primus and follow the entry to ZM chain from the beginning. I have several crafting alts that I'm choosing to do the early chapters on, and this works fine.
Can you go back and skip on an alt if you already started the questline on that specific alt?
So I just leveled a new 60, selected the ZM skip from Oribos and now it's still making me do Torghast intro quests? I talked to Bolvar and he doesn't have any other skips for me, but I figured the ZM skip would also skip Torghast and Korthia as well. Would like any insight on this please and thank you as I do not want to do those annoying Maw quests again without a mount.
