What does this mean? We literally do not know until Blizzard actually tells us what their goals are with XP scaling in DF lolAnyone who claims anything more than that is literally just spitballing a guess into the wind.
so is this a buff or a nerf, this means *!@# all.
using "nerf" here is weird. you should word this in a way that makes it easy to understand haha.
Thank god, was annoying as hell when they reverted the nerf. This should let people hit max level content in about the same time as it takes now when it goes live.
I still don't understand why they didn't just set SL to 10-50 like the rest of the past expansions and keep level 60 the max level going forward. That would ensure Chromie Time mechanic stays constant and consistent.
So they make it so exp required to get to the next level actually goes DOWN when leveling up in the 30s and 40s? Amusing
If I had to guess, I would think it was a bug. Typically blizz wants people to level in current content which would be 60-70. Without these xp nerfs (or buffs... faster leveling through 50-60) then it would be a slog for new characters to go from 1 to 70 since 50-60 would take so long.
This change is almost flawless IMO. GJ on this one Blizzard. Here's a TLDR for people who don't understand what this means: When you are level ~15-30, finally able to do dungeon finder runs and PVP, this change will slow that level range down so you aren't getting 2-3 levels per dungeon and blasting past those levels at light-speed.Then once you are level ~35-60 it won't feel like you have suddenly slammed into a brick wall and have to grind and grind Legacy content that you've already done 100 times.Overall the XP changes should make leveling new alts feel MUCH more "linear", as in this makes the amount of time to gain a level much smoother across the entire level range.Think of it like Audio Equalizer Levels, that crazy graph actually makes the experience more "Flat" and natural.Or think of these changes like you are smoothing out a balled up sheet of paper. These changes are like the pressure from your hands smoothing out the wrinkles in the paper which represents XP/Time-Required-Per-Level.
Can they please expand the character cap now.
I believe the correct term is, yo.
I think this is good, but knowing Blizzard, they'll revert it again...
These nerfs won't bring players back, increase fun increase exp gain. Give a reason for people to really want to do questing once they're max level. :D Older players already have max level toons, I have toon capped amount of alts. Meaning I can't level more if I wanted unless I created a second account, which I have. Altoholic life is real, mostly because it's nice having rare names and farming old dungeons and raids for rare tmog. Most people are casual players if that wasn't obvious by the amount of players buying shop mounts lol.
Let’s update our vocabulary, I think we can understand words outside of ‘buff’ and ‘nerfed’.Has the xp amount been reduced or increased?
For people who are confused: Leveling 1-60 in Dragonflight will take about as much time as leveling 1-50 right now in Shadowlands. You level faster than before.
