How about throwing all this crap out the window and just playing what you feel like? I know, shocking concept.;)
Well back to being the worst spec in the game as fury thanks blizzard for not literally doing any changes to warriors since September 2nd
Play what you want < Love the idea but doesn't work in theoryBring the player not the class < Love the idea doesn't work in theoryFact is some classes have their strengths and weaknesses. Those specs in those classes also break down to further give some specs a clear advantage in some content. *eg DH in BFA did it all with ease, sure some skill but overall "easy" Priest 5% stam, Mage 5% Int, War 5% Att Pow, DH 5% Mag dmg, Monk 5% Psy Dmg < Those 5 are "locked' when it comes to a raid team for just those 5 little buffs/debuffs they bring to the team. Immunities and the often Range>melee round out a "20 man" all subject to change based on encounter and tuning but yea general idea here. Druid great class can "do it all" Resto is just amazing at M+ that BR is the cause of a lot of whine. Guardian has had its up and downs (more downs as of late, time will tell). Miss those early Legion days of OP lol. Balance is hit or miss (guess they never miss huh). Often it is great overall and in the right hands does well and has much better representation than Feral. Pretty much has all the same utility has Resto but in a range dps form < preferred more often than melee, just too much in the game. Feral . . .has a cult following, those great ones claim there is nothing wrong more a L2P issue. New players sadly don't perform well and roll back to an "easier" spec/class. EG. DH BFA. When it comes to a raid comp set up. One could play any spec/class in the game and have a good time. Conversely when you are a raid lead and have to start looking at who to sit first (usually comes out in M due to 20 man limit, but in H you have to cut the lower dps too). Feral sadly brings nothing to the table that a Balance druid doesn't already bring, it takes up a melee spot that is already limited as is. And being often "hard to do" leads to it being just let out if you will. So yea at the end of it all sure, play what you want. Just don't be shocked to be sat, swapped, and see a very step entry into M+ if you were to Feral. This is alleviated by having your own group, more applicable to pug life. Those Ferals out there . . .put into words how you feel when you see. "Feral or Balance" when you apply to a pug M+ key.
Thank you and congratulations on your newfound restraint.
The fact they promised a monk patch and haven't made one yet at least crosses off monk from the list.
"play what you enjoy" is toxic. Don't tell players that. Unless you want to be a normal or heroic raider youll be miserable. Even causal guilds want classes that can do actual DPS.
Or just find a tolerant guild.I used to play Elly shaman for a great many years. I finaly abandoned them due to the consistent lack of attention from Blizzard to adress their many issues. And so much devtime was wasted in Beta trying to remove the maelstrom bar for ellys, and trying to shoehorn back in archaic mechanics that had been purged for good reason. They eventually conceded it didnt play well and reverted it.Ive tried a great deal of classes/specs until deciding on a new main. Shadow priest. Always prefered ranged. Had tried Destrolock for a while, but I just couldnt get a grip on doing Havoc properly, not to forget the huge castime increase for pets. And affliction have way too many dots to manage. Balance have far too many things to manage with having to set up feral and guardian forms. And mages, played them too much in the past and wanted something new, neither of the specs as they are today appeals to me. Hunters? Far too dependent on pets.
Something people need to remember is that there is more to a spec than just the DPS/HPS/tankiness. If you have meh DPS but extremely useful raid utility (e.g. AoE stun/silence, battle rez, stealth etc) then your spot in a raid group is much more likely obtained over the second/third/fourth flavour of the month DPS with little to no raid utility.
It's really strange have a top tier list, but you see... balance changes but I don't want to be left out because of my class. I won't be subbed all time, when I play, I don't want to be left out because of my class. So, when I'm playing, I really want to know what class should I focus to be in a party/raid/whatever
So after 4 nerfs, ShadowPriest went from S tier number one to Mid tier.Blizz really know how to nerf.
