Jesus people. Normally I'm one to get pissed at Blizzard as much as the next person, but they're doing this to bring people back to the game.
At least 2 years? Well, I just checked my second battlenet account that I haven't used since almost 3 years ago and it didn't show any indication that it had a boost. Wish Blizzard would specify more about this, even the blue on the forums said they don't know the specific details for this. I also checked my two additional accounts on my main battlenet account that have been inactive for years and nothing on them. Some people were saying that some people with a sub got it on the forums, but also can't believe everything you read!
I still want my allied races that I paid for to play and not grind 75 rep 6-8 times a day for eternity.Plus, I went on a 6 month hiatus and just re-subbed a month ago so I get screwed on this boost too.Just felt like adding a few more sprinkles to the Blizzard cake while we are at it. O and not too mention I'v been playing the game since it was first released in 2004 and not once has blizzard rewarded me for loyalty.
They love their milestones, but why not give a free boost to all people, active or not? I might sound like an entitled fan, but I'm just thinking of all the players, subbed or not.
Ok so what for us that have stayed with the game? Haven't been unsubbed since cata and have played nearing 10k hours in the 10 years I've been playing. Would love a 100 or a 110 boost or two.
Good for them! I don't see a use for character boosts, and got my promotion with the feathery dragon mount a while back as my 6 month sub renewed, so I'm a happy camper!I do however wish that they'd allow Allied races to earn their Heritage armors even if utilizing RAF...
You guys will get an entire event filled with content, including pets, 9 old raid bosses, a mount, and probably even more. Yet still you're crying about trying to attract players back to the game you are with a single measly level 100 boost? I mean shouldn't you be appreciating Blizzard for taking steps to increase players participating in the game you enjoy? Does it always have to be what about me me me me?Life is not a zero sum game. Just because one person gets something and you do not, does not mean you are "losing" or getting "nothing". Current players are getting one set of rewards and dormant/returning players are getting one singular reward. Is that really so bad?Learning how to be grateful will make you much more happy than whining over perceived slights.
For those kvetching about this, just remember that they have to actually buy a month of time in order to use it. Once they boost a character to 100, it's ineligible to play for free.
Wonder how many will rage quit over this...lol. Another stupid idear. Seems Blizzard yearly paying supporters get zero these days after Activision taking over Blizzard games and all the old developers being kicked out who funded Blizzard.Make Blizzard great agan....!
It looks like this is by bnet account as my main account does not have the gift as I have several accounts that have not been played in years. I do however have another bnet account that has not even been logged in to in years and it has the free 100 boost as a gift, but only for 1 account on the bnet not by each account within the bnet.
I like how Blizz rewards people who don’t play their game with $60 worth of free stuff.

Whoever is complaining about this being only for Level 100:The purpose of this gift is to get some of the returning classic-players to take a look at the retail-WoW.By "only" giving them Level 100, they are able to play 10 Level in Legion and experiencing the content of the Zones. This way they dont need to commit to buy the Addon Battle for Azeroth. If the boost would be to level 110, the players would not be able to enjoy any content without buying BfA.I like this gift. Its a nice way to get some players back into retail that would otherwise only be interested in Classic.
Eh, it doesn't bother me that much but I can totally understand why it bothers others. It seems like one of those things that Blizz had to anticipate the optics of... since there hasn't even been an official announcement, maybe we just don't have the full picture on this yet. I hope?
