I agree with all of the points here. I've done a bunch of 55-60+ dungeons and I get sacred gear and sub 800 power level gear which is just worthless and some affixes are just straight-up avoid affixes.
Main issues with them is no rewards. They should reward at least x5 more XP and much better loot to be worth doing. And dungeon affixes suck just like they do in wow and should not be a part of the game at all.
I'd also just like to see nightmare dungeon "potions" not waste so many consumable slots. they can pile up quickly and then you actually can't even pick up actual potions. these should just be moved to currency or something
What do you mean you don't enjoy getting a random ass yellow item after completing a high tier NM where one stun means you're dead? All jokes aside, I do pretty much agree with everything mentioned here, I do hope they'll tackle on it and actually find a meaningful way to tweak things. I'm slightly afraid that they're just going to nerf normal dungeons and leave nightmare dungeons as they are.Furthermore, some affixes are just pure nightmare, I just destroy any sigil I see and don't bother when certain affixes are involved.
It blows my mind that players can manage to be so blind to the fact that, for solo play at least, nightmare dungeons are completely reasonable xp and nearly as efficient, if not just as efficient, as spamming normal dungeons. The proof is right there in Wudijo, the guy only plays solo, almost exclusively does nightmare dungeons to level up, and he outlevels *every* other solo player by a considerable margin. Part of that is just the guy being an insane player and having a lot of time to play since it's his job, but plenty of the people he's outleveling are also good players with a ton of time to play. Glyphs also offer an insane amount of power for your character, so while a guy running nightmare dungeons, getting most, if not all, of his build's glyphs up to 21, might end up at 100 a few hours of gameplay behind someone who just spams the same normal dungeon all day long with 0 glyph xp, the guy who did NM dungeons will have such an obscenely more powerful character that what was even the point?Stop looking for an excuse to not play the game, continuing to find the next best dungeon to mindlessly spam all day long, and just do the nightmare dungeons. Once you realize what affixes are awful for your build and can be salvaged, nightmare dungeons flow quite nicely and offer a great deterministic way to gain power in the form of the glyphs. Nightmare dungeons could be even better, and I hope they get buffed, but pretending like they're super far behind mindlessly grinding the same normal dungeon is just a lie.Wowhead, your D4 coverage so far has been pitifully terrible, with some straight up misinformation posted a few times (not necessarily in this post), and mostly just outdated crap and whining. Find a different guy.
What needs to happen at MINIMUM is when you do IV Sigil runs there needs to be a bonus to standard leveling XP when you are doing the runs. Right now literally only reason to do high tier is to level your glyph.Another issue is where is the boss loot? There is currently no real reason to kill end of map bosses. Why?
The whole game is a mess ! Zero to none Content ! You reach end game pretty fast any person who is deep into RPG will understand! Waste of money in my opinion! Soon when they start selling Items it will be worse but they did the best part they sold the a game with no content. After the Camp is a walking simulator or u have to spam nightmare dungeons with legit no loot and it's get boring after the 5th dungeon. 2/10 Cuz is not p2w Yet. My advice wait for PoE2 and don't buy DIablo 4! You will enjoy it 2 days at most , not to mention the bugs in Hardcore and the DC-s. Cheers all.
Even tho all games have alphas , closed betas , betas , open betas , years of development and what not , it boggles my mind how can there be always the same mistakes companies make , after they created so much more in the past years and are among the main developers in the gaming world - either adding too little or too much , followed by tons of bugs , fixes and nerfs for things they test and try for years before release... it feels like the gaming industry is racing whos gona make the best marketing and hype over unfinised game so all they do is brag about profits , which is so sad.
this is a good write up. I play hyper casual so a lot of the end game complaints havent affected my particular playstyle so i was confused as to what a lot of the outrage was over but this sums it up nice and succinctly. Thank you for the thorough explanation of pain points with the systems
I am enjoying doing nightmare dungeons, but at the end the boss drops a yellow and i get a random lego thats probably not even sacred, its meh really.
also i dont think people understand how glyphs work. a lvl 15 glyph can double your current damage. a lvl 21 glyph can double AGAIN. this is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than lvl 100
While I agree the rewards are too low can we stop with the “slows things down” stuff. Not every game needs to be go go go. They turned wow into this among many other games. It’s ok if something isn’t “efficient” at leveling as long as it’s fun and rewarding. Bring back rpg and fun just cause it’s fun.
