How dare you not mention Azuregos? That crazy blue dragon that taught a murloc to speak. Or his 'relationship'with a spirithealer.I hope Kalec gets killed off so Azuregos can take his place. Azuregos for next Aspect!
Don't think the "corrupted" Wrathion is a good representative of the black dragons.
What about Stellagosa? Nobody remembers her and Emmigosa it seems.
Making an expansion around the dragons just feels so underwhelming. The dragonflights are pretty much irrelevant since they lost their powers, if I recall correctly from Azsuna the blue dragonflight can't even create any more and are dying out, the last black female capable of laying eggs on Azeroth died during catacylsm in the Twilight Highlands. They're 100% probably going to kill Nozdormu and most likely shove Chromie as the new leader instead of Anachronos who is the heir of the bronze dragonlight (they'll probably forget that) or even Soridormi. The green dragons plight has been self explanatory since the beginning with the nightmare and buggery knows if Alexstraza and the reds can even create more dragons seeing as the blue dragonflight aren't capable. So what's the plot point going to be? The twilight flight who are basically extinct? The dragonflights dying off and we seek to help them gain power again? I just can't see how this expansion can be done well especially by Blizzard with their recent track record when it comes to the story.
I really won't try to ramble but; I feel like you should speculate on the albino drake as it's flavor text indicates that it's not albino but rather white, albinism doesn't change your DNA so the possibility of an old, lost flight is there. I think the thunder dragons of legion should have an honorable mention since they are intelligent, the drakes of skywall and the stone drakes could probably pop up again given how there's very little information about them and in-game texts speculates that dragons might have came from them(I'm assuming they mean elemental drakes -> azeroth drakes instead of proto dragons). Soridormi could also play a part since we have yet to actually know what happens from Kairozdormu's vision, I do think it's about time that Wrathion meets the remaining flight on outland, and possibly the nethers, the nether dragons don't like the black flight due to their past but I'd imagine that with Wrathion's blatant desire to bring back his flight he would probably try to bring the netherwing back. We could also see a confrontation between him and Alexstrasza, etc.
8 more days and we'll get our answer.
I find if strange that, outside of magical experiments conducted by Deathwing and his crazy ilk, not one breeding pair managed to make a totally natural hybrid. It should be an obvious option, especially for the ones who are so far into inbreeding that they can't breed with one another anymore. Have some predominant genes, like a blue dragon with hints of bronze, or a green dragon with hints of red. Bring in the Netherwings and have them mate with the black dragons, since they're offshoots of one another. Whip out the chromatic dragons and have them help since they're magic hybrids. Hell, let's get creative and have three-way combos; Netherwing + Chromatic to create a colorful dragon with netherwing traits, then slap some twilight in there to make the offspring have a cool glowing stripe like some kind of Azerothian Indoraptor. Just imagine the power flex a Netherwing/Chromatic/Twilight dragon could have.
Actually what's the status of Netherwing dragonfligh? I remember from Wowpedia that in one story they were supposedly all killed by some nutjob tampering with the Dark Portal or something else in Outland in one novel, and he was using them as power source to do so.
If Chromie won't be the final boss, I'm not interested.
Children's Week is coming soon. In the TBC version, we escort Dornaa (a draenei orphan) around. In Caverns of Time, the time dragons react to her aggressively.Over the years, I've been wondering what mayhem or havoc she might cause in the future. Maybe the time would be now? (Yea, probably it just remains an isolated questline anyway.)
Don't forget that 8.1.5 had an infinite dragon quest line for tailors, 8.2 had an entire long intro quest line with dragons where they all met in the chamber of the heart to perform a ritual together to empower the HoA, and 8.0-8.2 island expeditions had lots of dragons with juicy quest text. There is plenty of material to work with for a dragon expansion which is beyond certainty going to be the next expansion.
