And the dk tank mitigation ^&*! #$%^. Every physical attack dropp the hp 10-15%. Top tank in wow haha...
Thank god people started calling out that atrociously bad long comment on the first page. All the other pug level players slobbering over another pug level player spreading their pug level ignorance had me feeling like I was taking crazy pills
100% with you, Valtrex! Please rewrite this entire article/post to reflect the nature of raid tanking. The kind that involves pairing TWO tanks. The article in it's current state has little to zero value, and as a "multi-tank" player myself there's lots more to cover regarding strengths/weaknesses of combinations. The fact that you placed Guardian Druids in the "A" Tier is super laughable.
I like how this article is written. The first half is a list of the tank mechanics, and then brief list of the rankings, and then a in depth explanation of the rankings linked back to the mechanics. Providing the information to encourage players to form their own opinions and prepare their own tanks/raids. And the reminder at the end that playing any tank well is better than playing the 'ideal' tank poorly. Some readers can't be happy.
One of the bigger magic damage mitigations from Paladin is Holy Shield, it's just not on demand.Additionally, running 3x Grace of the Justicar and VoP major (with Hand of the Protector) puts out an incredible amount of sustain healing for your raid, something else worth noting.

Poor blood dk's bottom for m+ and raids for pugging according to these wowhead ratings. Nobody will take 'em to pug AOTC groups because they won't get invited for keys nor raids now. For all these rating articles are worth - play what you enjoy its a game. If you're getting paid chances are you you know everything in this already and its just a second opinion or something to use to strengthen your choice already made at this point. If you're playing at the top level for raiding, chances are you are already levelling what is it 3 tanks to stay invited in case your guilds decides to experiment?
you should play what you want, hate threads like this so much
it's always interesting to read threads at the bottom of articles like these and see the reactions the articles cause in so many people. Personally I find these mini guides useful and informative as I am not a top tier player and never have been (not my idea of fun, too much like work to me lol). The funniest thing is how emotive a lot of the posts get when this type of article is NOT something aimed at the top tier players like Method et al, and I would be extremely surprised if the authors corrected me in that assumption. It might surprise many posters above to know that the top tier mythic raiders are not here on Wowhead getting tips on the upcoming raid, they are currently running the raid on test and adjusting strategies/team composition as changes are made to mechanics and abilities as testing progresses. They are not dissecting Wowhead guides for tips, strategies and team composition ideas to base their tilt at World First around lol. This is a great guide for players/guilds who are casual through to those who want to challenge themselves further in the higher tiers. The OP points out clearly throughout that no tank will be useless/a burden in the upcoming raid and is therefore saying "If you like playing X tank and play it well, then you'll be a useful member of a raid team in the upcoming raid". I think it's also useful to players who might be considering taking up a tank role after playing another role for however long. Because the emphasis of the article is clearly "play what you enjoy but play it well" it can stop the big mistake many casual and higher players make when trying out a new role - don't choose the "best tank for this raid", especially if it's in a class you have not played before. Try out the different tanks and see which suits your style of play more, trial characters cost nothing :). You'll have way more fun playing a toon you enjoy and the funny thing is, you'll become a better player of that toon because you are actually having fun playing it!
